Palliative Care Association of Uganda PCAU is a National Association for Palliative Care Providers in Uganda. Composed of 1,800+ Individual Members & 36 Member Organisations.

Mission: To accelerate the integration of palliative care in the Uganda health care system through capacity building, advocacy, research and resource mobilization.

Today, the Palliative Care Association of Uganda joins partners and stakeholders at the for the handover of 11 ambulances that will help bring palliative care closer to patients and families across Uganda.

This is more than a handover ceremony. It is a commitment to ensuring that people living with cancer and other serious illnesses receive compassionate care, dignity, and support wherever they are.

As we celebrate this important milestone, we also launch the vision of the Dr. Anne Merriman Fund for Uganda (DAMFU), strengthening palliative care services for future generations.

Today, the Palliative Care Association of Uganda (PCAU) Team, together with our partners from Ireland, visited – New Hope Children's Hostel, one of the beneficiaries of the ambulance donation initiative under the Dr. Anne Merriman Fund for Uganda (DAMFU).

Kawempe Home Care continues to provide compassionate palliative care services to children and families facing life-limiting illnesses. Through the New Hope Children's Hostel, children accessing cancer treatment and specialized care receive accommodation, psychosocial support, and a nurturing environment that promotes dignity and hope during challenging times.
