Welcome to Men's Health Month

This June, Karin Community Initiative Uganda is shining a spotlight on men's health because healthy men build healthy families and stronger communities.

Throughout the month, we will be focusing on:
✅ Prostate health awareness and screening
✅ Men's mental health
✅ Sexual and reproductive health
✅ Male involvement in family health
✅ Workplace health outreach
✅ Sports and wellness activities
✅ Infection prevention and hygiene

Too often, men delay seeking healthcare until serious illness develops. This month, we encourage every man to prioritize his health, get screened, ask questions, and take action.

Your health matters.
Your family needs you healthy.
Your community needs you strong.

At Karin Community Initiative Uganda (KCIU), we believe that strong families are built when both mothers and fathers actively participate in the health and wellbeing of their children. One of the ways we continue to strengthen community health is by encouraging greater male involvement in maternal and child healthcare.

Karin Community Initiative Uganda promotes male involvement in maternal and child healthcare by recognizing fathers who actively support their families during immunization and healthcare visits.

High blood pressure, also known as hypertension, is often called the “silent killer” because it may not show symptoms until serious health complications occur.

At Karin Community Initiative Uganda, we encourage everyone to take simple steps to protect their heart health:

✔ Check your blood pressure regularly
✔ Reduce salt intake
✔ Stay physically active
✔ Eat healthy foods
✔ Manage stress
✔ Avoid smoking and excessive alcohol consumption

Early detection and healthy lifestyle choices can save lives.

Know Your Numbers. Protect Your Heart. Protect Your Future.
