🇹🇷 Moments from Our Scientists in Türkiye

During their ongoing vaccine manufacturing training in Türkiye, Prof. Dr. Alexzander Asea and Eng. Jeff Ssebagala visited the KeyVAC Vaccine Manufacturing Facility in Ankara for a full-day technical engagement.

They were hosted by Chief Eng. Ali and accompanied by Mrs. Ilksen, Member of the Turkish Parliament.

The visit provided valuable exposure to vaccine manufacturing processes, technologies and operations, while strengthening opportunities for knowledge exchange, technology transfer and future collaboration.

Every experience and partnership contributes to the journey toward strengthening Africa’s vaccine manufacturing capacity and health security. 🌍💉

Building Vaccine Manufacturing Expertise in Türkiye 🇹🇷💉
Building vaccine manufacturing capacity starts with knowledge, hands-on training, and continuous learning.

Our Vaccine Access Initiative (VAI) team in Ankara, Türkiye 🇹🇷 is currently undergoing specialised training in vaccine manufacturing. As part of this capacity-building programme, the team is also participating in a research animal handling course at the Nesa Laboratory of Experimental Animals, leading to an internationally recognised certification.

This experience is strengthening our team’s technical expertise and advancing VAI’s vision of building sustainable vaccine manufacturing and life sciences capacity in Africa. 🌍

Building skills today. Building vaccine capacity for tomorrow. 💉🌍
