Common Man Economics: Your Salary Is Lying To You
You used to buy things without thinking too much.

Across Uganda, South Sudan, and many African economies, people are earning bigger numbers but living tighter lives. Salaries look better on paper, yet many households are under silent pressure behind closed doors.
That is what inflation does.
It quietly changes how people eat, move, socialize, and survive.
The painful truth is that a bigger salary does not always mean a better life anymore. If prices rise faster than income, even “millionaires” can feel financially trapped.

“How much do you earn?”
It is:
“How far does your money take you before it disappears?”
