MHS at UPA 2026 | Advancing sickle cell diagnosis 🇺🇬
This week at the 22nd Annual Uganda Paediatric Association Conference, our team is sharing the science behind MicroScreen — MHS’s multi-analyte point-of-care immunoassay designed to differentiate sickle cell disease, sickle cell trait and normal haemoglobin.
Uganda carries a significant sickle cell burden. Expanding access to early, reliable and decentralised diagnosis is critical to improving outcomes for children.
Beyond showcasing a locally manufactured diagnostic, is a chance to exchange knowledge, strengthen clinical collaboration and expand access to testing.

Today, we had the privilege of hosting a delegation from the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, led by Ashaba Hannington, Director, Budget, and his team, for a tour of our state-of-the-art IVD manufacturing facility.

The visit provided an opportunity to showcase our locally manufactured in-vitro diagnostic solutions, growing manufacturing capabilities, and our contribution to strengthening Uganda’s healthcare manufacturing ecosystem.
