From classrooms to communities, helping girls stay in school, restoring dignity, and creating opportunities for women to earn sustainable livelihoods.

The silence in the tailoring room is not empty it is full of purpose. It carries the steady rhythm of sewing machines and the quiet concentration of students carefully shaping fabric into something new.

At one table sit Robert and Nazifah, both deaf, guiding the class not through spoken instruction but through the graceful language of their hands. Between stitches and fabric, they offer encouragement, corrections, and confidence all through sign.
In this room, silence does not mean absence.
It means: focus, determination and possibility.

Through IMARA vocational training, skills like tailoring are helping people move toward independence, dignity, and meaningful work.

For the past two months, we were grateful to host Alba and Raul at the Kitega Community Centre.

Alba shared her time and heart supporting work at the hospital, while Raul brought joy, play, and encouragement to our children—especially during the holiday programme. Beyond activities, their presence, curiosity, and willingness to walk with the community meant a lot to us.

As they return to Spain 🇪🇸, we say thank you for being part of the Kitega journey.
