Abbeville is such a unique town in so many ways. We've got this amazing venue, the Livery Stable, where events like ours can be hosted without much disruption to anyone else.

We took a big risk this year in requesting space on Trinity Street as well. As seems to always happen with every event, we had a handful of no-shows and last minute drop-outs. But, based on the feedback we've received from around town, the Expo was not only a success for our vendors, but for many of the brick and mortar shops and restaurants around town as well.

That was our hope. That's what 'holistic' means to us--both/and, not either/or. Feed two birds with one morsel. Health, in all of its forms, isn't cut off from the rest of the community any more than it's cut off from our personal choices and actions.

Let's keep building on all of this synergy for next year.

Thank you to the City of Abbeville for providing us with the space for Saturday's event, and thank you to the business community of Abbeville for being such gracious hosts and neighbors.

One of the beautiful ways our event grew this year was through the gracious offering of our friends at Trinity Episcopal Church who allowed our presenters to make use of their sanctuary and grounds.

Since we first began planning for the original Expo, there's been an understanding that spiritual health is not only a vital component of our overall health, but that our church homes can also be important sites for promoting and learning about healthier ways of living. (Let's keep nourishing this relationship, yeah?)

This year we brought two physical activity classes and a handful of speakers on topics ranging from natural health to the calming power of sound (and everything in between). By permitting us to use their church grounds, Trinity gave us the opportunity to more than double the number of vendors we had from last year.

And they helped us to root this event deeper into the actual community here. Whole-person health isn't just something which happens at an annual festival in Abbeville. It's something you can find here every week.

Thank you to all of our friends at Trinity for believing in this project and helping to make it happen. 🙏

One of this year's big experiments with the 2023 Abbeville Holistic Expo was expanding our gathering into Friday. Thanks to the Abbeville County Library System, where you can find many health-related services and classes throughout the year, we were able to do that.

There were a lot of unknown factors that came along with this plan. Chief among them was the weather. While I can assure you that we had prayers going out for "no rain" months in advance, not one of us thought the wind would present such a challenge.

I hope that one day we can all laugh about how uncontrollable factors like that really are, but I know as someone who has been a vendor at events like these for years, there's a lot of frustration that can arise when you're right there in it.

Thank you to all of our vendors who braved flying tents and something new with the Expo to come out and be part of creating such a wonderful experience. Thank you to the library for hosting us. And thank you especially to our Friday event sponsor Rush Moore Financial for their genuine and passionate interest in promoting the health of this community.

Long time, no see!! We wanted to kick off some photo sharing from the 2023 Abbeville Holistic Expo with a shout-out to our sponsors and event venues who made this year's festival possible...

Our "Home and Farm" Day at the Abbeville County Library System took place with special thanks to our Farmer's Market sponsor Rush Moore Financial.

Our sponsors Abbeville Area Medical Center and Cedar Ridge Farm of Abbeville were also instrumental in bringing this year's event together. And then, lastly, that guy in the bright orange t-shirt may have had something to do with all the postcards and emails you've been getting since our first festival.... 🙃

It's TODAY!! 2023 Abbeville Holistic Expo kicks off THIS MORNING (Friday) at 9am at the Abbeville County Library System (1407 N. Main in Abbeville, SC).

Join us for an outdoor vendor fair along with speakers on different aspects of health all day until 5pm. Then, meet us in downtown Abbeville tomorrow (Saturday) for DAY TWO.

100% FREE to ATTEND BOTH DAYS. Some vendors have products for sale. Some vendors may be cash-only, so plan to swing by an ATM on your way in.

WELCOME TO ABBEVILLE!! Our little town has so much to offer and we hope you enjoy your visit during the 2023 Abbeville Holistic Expo this weekend.

While in town, be sure to stop in and show some love to our many local shops and restaurants. You can even catch the WORLD PREMIERE of Parading Crazy on the Porch this weekend at the Abbeville Opera House!
