Men are less likely than women to seek medical care and are more likely to choose unhealthy behavior. Take charge of your health.

Men die an average of five years earlier than women and are at higher risk for serious diseases such as lung cancer, heart disease, and HIV. Familiarity with men’s health issues, regular screenings, and preventive care can be key in encouraging good health and long life.

The Military Health System provides comprehensive men’s health care related to cardiovascular health, mental health, musculoskeletal injuries, and reproductive health. Our goal is to ensure the health of all men at every stage of life and no matter your age, you can take simple steps to live healthier.

Schedule your preventive care screenings ASAP with your provider by calling the appointment line at 325-696-4677 or by utilizing the patient portal online.

Team Dyess,

May is Mental Health Awareness Month.

Each week, we will be sharing a fact/information from our amazing Mental Health staff here at the 7 MDG.

There are many reasons why someone may not seek treatment for their mental health conditions including: stigma, access to affordable services, etc.

For DoD beneficiaries, TRICARE has made treatment easy to access. No referral is needed to seek individual therapy.

For military members, there are a variety of on and off-base resources that are waiting to help to include: Military OneSource, Military Family Life Counselors, Primary Care Behavioral Health, and the Mental Health Flight.

05/15/2024

Team Dyess,
📣 The 7 MDG will be hosting the Family and Patient Advisory Board on Wednesday, 22 May from 1500-1600 at the Chapel Annex!
The purpose of this forum is to collaborate with our patients as we address concerns and work together to improve our services. Help us help you! We value your thoughts and ideas!
If interested in attending or sharing any concerns ahead of time, please contact Ms. Carol Mann at [email protected] or
325-696-2337.
Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you there!

Update as of 1:40 pm: It appears the refill line is functioning again. So you should be able to use the phone number on your bottle to refill your meds. We encourage you to keep the info in this original post handy for any future refill line outages.

We are currently experiencing some issues with our refill line access. It has been elevated to the highest level for resolution. In the meantime, if you have access to the MHS Genesis patient portal, either by using your CAC or the DS Logon option, you can submit refills through the MHS Genesis patient portal. Or call the activation line at (325) 696-4677 opt 5, 1, 3 and speak with a technician for assistance.
We apologize for the inconvenience.
We will update this post as soon as the refill line issues have been resolved.

During the first full week of April each year, communities across the United States observe National Public Health Week as a time to recognize the contributions of public health, spread awareness about public health, and emphasize prevention. Dyess has an amazing Public Health Team on the 3rd Floor of the 7th Medical Group who provide support to the installation in a variety of ways: ensuring food establishments and workplaces are safe, educating people across the installation on proper food handling practices, and providing direct patient care through audiograms and deployment clearances. This week is a time to recognize their support, so thank your outstanding Public Health team as National Public Health Week wraped-up last week!

Attention Pharmacy Patrons,

Due to the on-going DOD Pharmacy wide change healthcare outage and increased time incurred to screen medications the pharmacy will not be accepting SICK Forms at this time. Once the system is fully functioning the pharmacy will resume processing the forms. Providers are still able to write for the over-the-counter medications on our formulary.

We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding as we continue to navigate through these issues.

11/21/2023

Update 29 November: ScriptCenter is back up and running normally.

Attention to our patients: We are currently experiencing technical issues with loading the ScriptCenter kiosk. If your prescription is not in the ScriptCenter machine, please come by the main pharmacy to pick-up your prescriptions. If you have any questions, please contact the pharmacy at (325)696-4677, Options 5, 1, 3.

We apologize for any inconvenience; we are working to get this issue resolved as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience.
