❌ **MYTH:** You either need mobility equipment all the time, or you don’t need it at all.

✅ **FACT:** Mobility needs are as varied as people are!

Someone might walk independently around the house but use a scooter for a long day out. Another person might use a rollator when they’re tired, a wheelchair while recovering from an injury, or rent equipment just for a vacation or special event.

Using mobility equipment doesn’t have to be all or nothing. **The right equipment is simply a tool to help you stay active, comfortable, and independent when you need it.**

💡 **Mobility Tip Monday: Traveling with Mobility Equipment** ✈️🚗

Planning one last summer trip or heading away for Labor Day weekend? A little preparation can help protect your mobility equipment and make traveling a whole lot smoother.

🔧 **Give your equipment a once-over.** Check tires, brakes, batteries, and any loose parts before you leave.

🔋 **Know your battery type.** If you're flying, check your airline’s requirements for mobility-device batteries ahead of time.

📸 **Take a few photos.** Snap pictures of your equipment before handing it over for transport. It’s also helpful to photograph the model and serial number.

🧳 **Remove or secure loose parts.** Cushions, baskets, joysticks, and other removable pieces can get lost or damaged during travel.

🔌 **Pack your charger!** It sounds simple, but it's one of the most important things to double-check before leaving.
