Pelvic floor PT homework can look a little… suspicious. 😂But yes—sometimes your homework really does involve a wand. For a tight or overactive pelvic floor, a pelvic wand can help you work on those deeper muscles at home between visits—especially the spots we’ve already identified in therapy. And don’t worry… we teach you exactly what to do with it. 😂Because apparently “do your exercises” means something a little different around here. Not sure if your pelvic floor is tight, weak, or somehow BOTH? Send us a DM.

Giving birth doesn’t have to mean you’re destined for a severe tear. 🙌

While no one can guarantee exactly what will happen during delivery, there ARE things you can do during pregnancy to help prepare your pelvic floor and perineum for birth.

Pelvic floor physical therapy can help you learn how to:

✨ Relax and lengthen your pelvic floor
✨ Practice effective pushing positions and techniques
✨ Improve mobility through your hips and pelvis
✨ Use breathing strategies during labor
✨ Prepare the perineal tissues for the demands of delivery
✨ Feel more confident going into birth

Birth prep isn’t about creating the “perfect” delivery. It’s about giving your body the mobility, coordination, and tools it needs when the big day comes. 💙

Pregnant? Don’t wait until the last few weeks to start preparing.

“You changed my life.” 🥹💙

There aren’t many words that mean more to us than those.

Because pelvic floor therapy isn’t just about muscles.

It’s about getting back to exercising without leaking.
Enjoying intimacy without pain.
Feeling confident during pregnancy and prepared for birth.
Getting through your day without pressure, discomfort, or constantly wondering if something is “wrong.”

It’s about getting your life back.

When a patient tells us we helped change their life…yeah, we feel pretty good about that. 😊

And if you’ve been living with symptoms you thought you just had to accept, we want you to know:

You don’t.

Let us help YOU next. 💙

Just because you’re “cleared” at 6 weeks doesn’t mean your body is ready for everything. 👏

After pregnancy and childbirth, it’s tempting to jump right back into the workouts you were doing before.

Running.
HIIT.
Heavy lifting.
Ab workouts.
Boot camps.

But too much, too soon can set your recovery back.

Your body just went through pregnancy and birth. Your core and pelvic floor need time—and more importantly, they need the right progression back to higher-level exercise.

Doing too much before your body is ready may contribute to symptoms like:
⚠️ Leaking
⚠️ Pelvic pressure or heaviness
⚠️ Pain
⚠️ Increased abdominal doming or difficulty managing pressure
⚠️ Feeling weaker instead of stronger

Here’s the good news: We don’t want to keep you from working out. We want to help you get BACK to it. 💪

At Connect Pelvic Health, we help postpartum women rebuild strength, restore core and pelvic floor function, and gradually return to the activities they love.

Your postpartum recovery isn’t a race.

Build the foundation first. Then build the strength.

Ready to get back to exercise with confidence? Send us a message or visit connectpelvichealth.com.

Childbirth doesn’t have to be something you’re afraid of. 🤍

It’s completely normal to have questions, worries, or even fear about labor and delivery—especially when you don’t know what to expect.

But preparation can change the way you approach birth.

At Connect Pelvic Health, we help expecting moms understand their bodies and physically prepare for labor so they can walk into delivery feeling stronger, more confident, and more prepared.

Pelvic floor physical therapy can help you:
✨ Learn how to relax and lengthen your pelvic floor
✨ Practice breathing and pushing strategies
✨ Explore labor and delivery positions
✨ Prepare your core and pelvic floor for birth
✨ Understand what your body is actually doing during labor

You can’t control every part of your birth story—but you can prepare for it.

Don’t let fear be the loudest voice in the room.

💙 You were made to do hard things. Let us help you prepare for this one.

Pregnant? Send us a message or visit connectpelvichealth.com to learn how we can help you prepare for birth.

These moments never get old. 💙

When a patient realizes leaking isn’t just something she has to deal with…
when s*x doesn’t hurt anymore…
when she feels prepared for birth instead of scared of it…
or when she gets back to running and lifting without pressure or leaking.

THAT is why we do what we do.

And no, the answer isn’t always more Kegels. 😂

If you’ve ever wondered, “Is this something pelvic floor PT can help with?” — DM us. Chances are, it might be.

Birth prep is more than packing the hospital bag. 👶🏼💙

Your pelvic floor plays a BIG role in pregnancy, labor, delivery, and recovery — and pelvic floor PT can help you prepare before the big day.

During birth prep, we can help you:

✨ Learn how to relax and lengthen your pelvic floor
✨ Practice breathing and pushing strategies
✨ Explore labor and delivery positions
✨ Improve hip and pelvic mobility
✨ Learn perineal preparation techniques
✨ Understand what your body is actually doing during birth
✨ Build confidence heading into delivery

And here's the important part: don't wait until 36 weeks to start!

We love seeing our pregnant patients around 20–24 weeks so we have time to get to know your body, address issues along the way, and progressively prepare you for birth.

Your body was made to do incredible things. Our job is to help you feel prepared, informed, and confident going into them. 💙

“Okay, This Might Be TMI…”

Trust us. It’s not. 😂

Peeing when you sneeze? Tell us.

Pain with s*x? Tell us.

Pressure or heaviness down there? Yep, tell us.

Constipation, painful poops, weird discharge questions, leaking, urgency, painful periods, things that feel different after having a baby…

TELL. US. 👏 ALL. OF. IT. 👏

In pelvic floor PT, there really is no such thing as TMI. The things that might feel awkward or embarrassing to talk about are often exactly the things we need to know to understand what’s going on and help you feel better.

We talk about bladders, bowels, s*x, pregnancy, birth, pelvic pain and all things “down there” every single day.

So please don't apologize.

You can't scare us. 😂

And chances are, whatever you're about to tell us…we've heard it before. 💙
