🌺 We are deeply grateful to Justine and John Arrillaga for their deep generosity and support of Let Grace In’s Legacy of Love fundraiser.

Their commitment to caring for others helps create opportunities for grieving families across Hawaiʻi to find connection, healing, and hope after the death of a child.

Because of compassionate community partners like Justine and John, families are reminded that they do not have to walk this journey alone.

Mahalo for your kindness, generosity, and belief in our mission. 💚🌿

🌺♥️These women have endured the unimaginable and carry the daily ache of missing their children with every breath, every milestone, every Mother’s Day. Some in our ʻohana have lost more than one child. Yet they continue to show up with courage, tenderness, humor, wisdom, and love.

🙏🏼 We celebrate these mothers with all our hearts. Not with pity, but with deep honor and understanding.

🦋There is something sacred about being in a room where no explanations are needed. Where your child’s name is spoken freely. Where your grief is not too much. Where other mothers truly understand the lifelong journey of loving and missing a child.

To every bereaved mother: we see you. We remember with you. And we celebrate the unbreakable bond between you and your child, always. ♥️ Mahalo Tammy for making this possible.

🤍🤍🤍 There is an unseen weight that grieving mothers carry every single day. A weight hidden beneath school pickups, work shifts, meals made, soccer games, smiles, and “I’m okay.” 💪🏽🥗⚽️🌺

♥️But another grieving mother sees it immediately.
She recognizes the ache behind the eyes, the love that never stopped, the exhaustion of carrying both grief and life at the same time. We feel it together. 🥹🥹🥹

🫖🌺🫶🏽 Each year when we gather, we honor not only the children we carry in our hearts, but one another. The strength. The tenderness. The survival. The love.

⚡️♥️Warriors of love, bound by a language no one else quite understands. Mahalo to Tammy Nakamura for hosting this deeply meaningful event each year in honor of her daughter Paige, who loved teatime. 🥹♥️🙏🏼😘 we love you.

💔Grief can weigh heavily on fathers, who can feel pressure to stay strong and silent. This gathering offers space to pause, breathe, talk story, and simply be cared for through community, dinner, cuts, clips & beard trims.

💪🏽 In Hawaiian culture, kāne are protectors and pillars of the ‘ohana. At this gathering, we honor grieving dads with a space for rest & restoration. Come as you are. Be seen. Be cared for.

💈💇🏻‍♂️🫶🏽Mahalo to Reana Hoaglen of Vigil Hair Company, the incredible barbers, and Golden Hawaii Barbershop for partnering with us to bring this special evening to our fathers. 🤍

💖 Resilience is not avoiding hard things.
Most times, healing has felt HARDER before it felt different.
😮‍💨 Can we stay present long enough to breathe through discomfort instead of running from it.

You are not failing because it feels hard. 💪🏽Keep going one breath at a time.
💚 May is Mental health awareness month.

🌎 April was Earth Month, and our Let Grace In ʻohana gathered in Kaʻaʻawa with Jaimie of Icky Love pottery for a grief support collaboration rooted in connection to the ʻāina.

🥾🥾We hiked together, asking the plants to help us create, then pressed leaves and flowers into clay to form small trays of remembrance.

🌺🍃There is something healing about this community creating in nature. Hands in the earth, mountains holding us, & angels assisting us. Can’t wait to see how they turn out!

🎏 I missed a BOYS DAY post for 5/5, but no one gets it right all the time- especially me.

🫶🏽 These two deserve a shout out. I can’t even imagine what my life would be like without their love, support, and partnership. Boys’ Day will always hold both my deepest love and deepest ache, honoring my favorite boys, Ka‘eo & Grayson. 😍

🏀🎮🕹️At our 3-day educational retreat in March, we gathered for dinner at Dave & Buster’s…
to relax, talk story, break bread, and just be together.

📝 After a full day of feeling, learning, and doing,
these in-between moments matter.
Where laughter comes a little easier.
Where connection happens without trying so hard.
Where our keiki can just be kids.

🤙🏽 Mahalo to Dave & Buster’s for the game cards that brought play to all ages.

Grief needs freedom to play too. So grateful for this community.🤍

💔Sunday, May 3 is Bereaved Mother’s Day. We say “we’re okay”… because sometimes it’s just easier.
But the truth is… we’re carrying so much.
Grief that doesn’t leave. Love that doesn’t end.

And still… we show up.
For the game. ⚽️
For the appointment. 🤒
For the conversations that matter. ♥️
For the children still here who need us. 🦋

🐞This is what it looks like to be a grieving mother.
To live in both worlds at once.

💔 It can feel lonely in a world that doesn’t understand.
But here… we do.
We see each other. We hold each other. We understand.

🫶🏽Showing up as we are is enough.
It always has been.
