It was a busy busy week! Lots of learning, lots of practice, lots of review, lots of new….the next few weeks are going to be CRAZY! This week….
Our Health Science 4 practiced so many of their skills for their PCT. And our Health Science 2/3 were learning about wounds through and orange lab. They’ve been working hard! Love these kids!

Marvelous Monday! Today we had our CTE fair! Health science students taught CPR, let students try out the hoyer lift, and taught about stop the bleed and tourniquet application. It was a success! Even had some crutches races.

Today we discovered our blood types! We practiced proper PPE and blood-borne pathogen safety. It was so cool to discover each each other‘s blood types.

So today was a little cross curricular learning day!
We started our day with a newly hatched chicken! I was supposed to be watching eggs….but they decided to join us! Then we practiced Ted hose, SCDs and hoyer lifts. Fun day!

Today was ostomy day! They learned to change and clean ostomies on my fake stomach! How a little chocolate icing, water and stink spray can bring ostomy changes to life😂. They did amazing as usual!

This award recognizes teachers who go above and beyond for their students, and we couldn’t think of anyone more deserving. We are so grateful to have her as a teacher in our program and for everything she does for her students each and every day.
