2026 research on Testosterone replacement in women.

Results: Improvement was reported across all eight domains, with energy/fatigue showing the strongest response (84.3% improved). Depression, irritability, anhedonia, and sexual interest each exceeded 65% improvement. Cognitive domains showed a delayed trajectory, with meaningful gains emerging at 4 to 6 months. Quality of life improvement was reported by 89.7%, with significant improvement rising from 5.4% at 1 month to 51.5% at greater than 12 months. Energy/fatigue (64.2%) and mood (49.7%) ranked above sexual desire (41.3%) as self-identified areas of greatest benefit. All five biomarkers changed favorably: total testosterone +151.8%, free testosterone +216.7%, hemoglobin +5.5%, SHBG −13.3%, and triglycerides −12.6%.

I dont know if these numbers are accurate or not, but we ALL know the cost of healthcare is ridiculous. I just got (another) hate mail yesterday from a patient upset that they had to pay their bill after insurance “had paid” and accused me of not running it through their secondary, but didn’t understand it was because their deductible hadn’t been met. Thats why I have chosen to do without insurance, be transparent and open about costs upfront, so there are no surprises months down the road. Feel free to ask about costs! They are posted on the front desk and in every room. It’s not near as expensive as running things through your insurance!

The US spends more on healthcare per capita than any country on earth.

And Americans are flying to China to get MRIs because it's cheaper.

Those two facts should not coexist.

An MRI at a public hospital in China costs around $70. At a private international hospital in Shanghai or Beijing, you're looking at $600 to $900. In the United States, the same scan runs $1,200 to $3,000, and that's often AFTER insurance kicks in.

Here's the actual math on the trip.

Round trip flight to China: $700 to $1,200. Five-star hotel in Shanghai: $150 to $250 a night. MRI at an accredited international hospital: $70 to $300. Total all-in cost for the entire trip including flights, hotel, and the scan: still under $2,000 in most scenarios.

The average American with insurance pays more than that out of pocket for the same procedure without leaving their zip code.
