Our residents had a blast playing Hippo Heist today.
Using grabbers to quickly scoop up as many balls from the table as possible, everyone brought their competitive spirit and a ton of energy to the room. It was an afternoon filled with endless smiles, quick moves, and plenty of laughs.

Lou spent his career as a skilled pipe fitter, but these days, he is our resident sunshine seeker. If it's a beautiful day, you can guarantee Lou is outside enjoying the fresh air or catching a peaceful cat nap in the sun.
Back in Florida, Lou loved nothing more than chatting it up with the neighbors, and he has brought that same friendly, social spirit right here to our community. Lou is the ultimate class clown, always ready with a quick wit and guaranteed to leave you laughing wherever he goes! 🤡😂

Today, on World Teachers Day, we’re celebrating the incredible teachers who now call our memory care community home. 🍎✏️

Before they were our residents, they were educators, mentors, role models, and difference makers. They taught generations of students how to read, how to solve problems, how to believe in themselves, and so much more.

Dementia may change many things, but it can never erase the impact a teacher leaves behind. The lessons they taught, the lives they shaped, and the kindness they shared continues far beyond the classroom.

Today, we honor their years of dedication and thank them for a lifetime spent helping others learn and grow.

Once a teacher, always a teacher. ❤️

🎃 Perfect fall day for a lunch outing to the pumpkin patch! 🍂
We picked out the perfect pumpkins to decorate the community and sat down for a fun lunch on the swaying picnic tables.
The highlight of the trip? Diane couldn't stop raving about her lunch—our chef, Christine, officially made her the best sandwich ever! 🥪✨

We had the best time at the pumpkin patch today! 🎃🍂
Our residents were on a mission to find the perfect pumpkins to decorate the community, but we found a totally rotten, mushy one along the way. Oh no! 🫣😂
Once we got past that little surprise, everyone had a wonderful time exploring and picking out their favorite pumpkins to bring back home. Our shared spaces are going to look so festive and full of personality! 🍁🏡✨

🦁 We had an absolute blast on our trip to the zoo!

One of the highlights was definitely making the trek up the big hill. It was a bit of a workout, but it was worth every single step when we got to see the grizzly bear up close!
We also loved checking out the playful monkeys and watching the penguins waddle around.
The zoo was beautifully decorated for fall, which made the whole day feel even more festive and special. It’s always a wonderful day when we get to explore, laugh, and be present with one another.

Our residents had a wonderful lunch trip to Cracker Barrel today!
Everyone enjoyed endless glasses of sweet iced tea, delicious homestyle food, and great company. 🍽️✨
The highlight of the day was exploring the gift shop, which is already beautifully transforming into a Christmas wonderland! 🎄❤️

National Assisted Living Week is here, and as a team exclusively dedicated to memory care, we are taking this opportunity to clear up some of the biggest misconceptions in our field. First, let's discuss when to make the move:
Myth: Specialized memory care should only be considered in the very late stages of dementia.

Fact: Moving earlier allows residents to build routines, form bonds, and thrive while actively engaging in programming.

Waiting for a crisis often makes transitioning harder for everyone. Entering a supportive memory care environment in early to moderate stages lets individuals adapt comfortably, build strong relationships with caregivers, and maximize their cognitive and social well-being.

A common misconception is that a move to memory care means an end to independence and routine. In reality, it is often a new beginning. By wrapping a secure, purpose-built environment around our residents, and taking care of the daily stressors like cooking, cleaning, and safety oversight, we actually help them regain a sense of freedom. Instead of struggling with daily frustrations, they find space to focus on what still brings them joy: familiar habits, sensory moments, and engaging activities tailored to where they are right now.
