“Clean at Sephora” isn’t what you may think it is

A lot of people assume “Clean at Sephora” means 100% natural, super simple, or “nothing synthetic.” But that’s not what the badge is.

It’s basically Sephora’s way of saying: this product meets their cleaner ingredient guidelines, meaning it avoids certain ingredients (like parabens, sulfates, phthalates, and mineral oils) and the brand is willing to be transparent about what’s inside. That’s it. It’s a standard, not a guarantee of “all natural” or “short ingredient list.”

They even say it directly that Clean at Sephora products can include both natural and synthetic ingredients. So a product can have the Clean badge and still have a long ingredient list, preservatives, fragrance allergens, texture agents, and stabilizers. That doesn’t automatically make it “bad” it just means “clean” is not a synonym for natural.

My version of clean is simple: real ingredients, made from scratch, small batches, and nothing extra. You’ll literally watch me whip it, pipe it, and seal it freshđŸ€âœšđŸ„°
