Pregnancy and then childbirth – your body has been through a lot. Recovery Matters. 💜

Pregnancy and childbirth can place significant strain on a woman’s pelvic floor muscles, which support the bladder, bowel, and uterus. After birth, some women may experience symptoms such as leaking urine, pelvic pressure, pain, or difficulty returning to normal activities.

The good news? These symptoms are common, and help is available.
Pelvic floor physical therapy can support postpartum recovery by helping improve strength, reduce discomfort, restore function, and build confidence as your body heals. Whether you're newly postpartum or years beyond delivery, it's never too late to address pelvic floor concerns.

Schedule an appointment today at one of our Women’s Health locations to learn more about postpartum recovery and pelvic floor wellness.💕

👁️‍🗨️ August is Children’s Eye Health & Safety Month! 👁️‍🗨️

As kids get ready to head back to school, don’t forget about their eye health. Clear vision plays an important role in learning, sports, and everyday activities.

This month, help protect your child’s eyes by:
✅ Scheduling a Comprehensive Eye Exam
A full eye exam can identify vision problems such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism that may affect school performance.
✅ Using Protective Eyewear
Certified sports goggles and shatterproof glasses can help prevent eye injuries during sports, recreational activities, and even science experiments.
✅ Following the 20-20-20 Rule
Reduce digital eye strain by encouraging your child to take a 20-second break every 20 minutes and look at something at least 20 feet away.

Healthy eyes support healthy learning! Schedule your child’s appointment with AAPHC today and help them start the school year seeing their best. Visit aaphc.org to see all our locations.

We had a wonderful time at our Birthing Class last week, with 14 participants joining us for a morning of learning and support!

A special thank you to Tiffany Terrell of A Better Way Grocers for sharing valuable information about healthy nutrition and food choices during pregnancy. Participants also enjoyed a healthy cereal snack while learning practical ways to support a healthy pregnancy journey.

Elois Edge, CNM and clinic namesake, was truly in her element, providing education on the second trimester and engaging mothers and their support persons through hands-on demonstrations and discussion.

We are grateful to everyone who attended and invested in preparing for this exciting chapter of life.

Hope to see you there!
