Not all vision changes are sudden. Some happen gradually over time 👁️

Cataracts often develop slowly, making early changes easy to overlook. If you notice changes in your vision, it is recommended that you schedule an appointment with an eye care professional for an evaluation.

NABA celebrates Pride Month! 🌈

Our mission is to help individuals who are blind or visually impaired achieve independence and growth. And that means everyone. We believe in a community where every person is valued, seen, and supported regardless of who they are or who they love.

This month and every month, we stand with our LGBTQ+ community. Because independence and growth are for all.

Happy Pride from NABA. 🧡

Your eyes work hard every day, especially if you're staring at a screen! 👁️💻

Try the 20-20-20 rule: every 20 minutes, take 20 seconds to look at something 20 feet away. It's a simple habit that can make a big difference in reducing eye strain and keeping your vision comfortable.

Creativity knows no limits — and neither do our young artists.

This week at the Northeastern Association of the Blind at Albany (NABA), our talented painters worked alongside Patrice Mastrianni to create a collaborative interpretation of Matisse’s The Parakeet and the Mermaid. Each artist contributed a unique section, bringing the masterpiece to life in their own expressive way.

The courage, imagination, and joy these young artists bring to every canvas remind us that art is about expression, accessibility, and inclusion. 🎨
