Beginning with our first home in Schenectady in 1974, Living Resources was founded with the aim of helping people with developmental disabilities live life as productive, capable members of the community. Since then, Living Resources has grown both in size and in scope of services. Today, we
serve more than 1,200 persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), and acquired brain

injuries. We offer a full range of services, including:

• Independent living skills
• Residential Programs
• Social, recreational and leisure time activities
• Day Services: Community and site-based
• After school program for children receiving special education
• The College Experience@ the College of Saint Rose (thecollegeexperience.org)
• Employment services and Vocational assistance
• Brain injury services

Fashion, thrilling horse racing, and community support came together at the Saratoga Race Course for the Fifth Annual Tribute to Transforming Lives! Held at the elegant 1863 Club, guests gathered for a memorable day dedicated to making a lasting impact in the Capital Region.

While a brief rain delay tested our patience, it couldn’t dampen the energy or enthusiasm of our amazing community. The day was filled with delicious food, stunning runway looks presented by Saratoga Trunk Lady's Finery, and exciting trackside action, all benefitting two vital organizations: Living Resources and Building On Love.

One of the most poignant moments of the day came during the Race 7, which was dedicated by their sister Barbara Bouchey in loving memory of her brothers Danny (RIP) and Brian, who is proudly supported by Living Resources. It was a beautiful tribute celebrating family, community, and the transformative power of compassionate care.

Guests engaged in friendly competition throughout the afternoon during our exciting live auction and carefully curated silent auction. From unique experiences to fine merchandise, every bid placed helped raise critical funds directly supporting individuals and families supported by Living Resources and Building On Love.

Now Hiring: Fiscal Intermediary Specialist

Living Resources is a nonprofit human services agency dedicated to supporting and empowering individuals with disabilities and other life-challenging conditions to live with dignity, independence, and happiness. We partner with families to provide quality care, support, and peace of mind.

We are seeking a Fiscal Intermediary Specialist to support individuals enrolled in Self-Direction services by providing fiscal oversight, administrative support, and guidance to participants and their support teams.

Key Responsibilities:
• Process billing and payments for approved goods and services
• Maintain fiscal accounting and reporting
• Ensure Medicaid and corporate compliance
• Verify staff employment eligibility
• Assist participants with managing their self-hired staff
• Participate in Life Plan and Circle of Support meetings as needed
• Coordinate incident reporting and investigations related to self-hired staff
• Provide training and education to participants, families, brokers, and other stakeholders
• Work collaboratively with independent and agency brokers

Qualifications:
• At least 1 year of experience working in Self-Direction programs as a Fiscal Intermediary or Broker
• Experience with Self-Direction EHR systems preferred
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Valid NYS Driver's License required

Now Hiring: Assistant Residential Habilitation Manager

Living Resources is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Manager to join our residential services team. As a nonprofit human services agency, our mission is to support and empower individuals with disabilities and other life-challenging conditions to live with dignity, independence, and purpose.

In this role, you will supervise Direct Support Professionals while providing hands-on support to the individuals we serve. Working closely with the Residential Habilitation Manager, you will help ensure high-quality, person-centered services that promote independence, community involvement, and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support individuals in the day-to-day management of their lives
• Encourage active participation in the community
• Assist with management and supervisory functions
• Support the development and implementation of Residential Habilitation Plans
• Provide input on individual program plans
• Serve as a positive role model for both staff and the people we support
