I’m Going Red for Women ❤️

This year, I’m going red and raising money for the Men Go Red for Women campaign.

Heart disease is the number one cause of death for women, but a lot of people don’t realize that when a woman collapses from cardiac arrest, she’s less likely to get CPR and less likely to survive.

That’s not okay, and it’s something we can fix.

Learning simple skills like Hands-Only CPR, sharing this message, or supporting heart health can truly save lives. Small actions make a big difference.

Fun Fact: Having an AED is the easy part. In New York State, compliance also requires medical direction, routine inspection documentation, and properly trained, certified staff to use the device. An AED only saves lives if the program behind it is compliant and ready when it matters.

Amazing days like this are one of the absolute perks of being an American Heart Association Training Center. Spending time with our friends at the American Heart Association, connecting with leaders, and doing meaningful work never gets old.

Big things are ahead as we work alongside the New York State Department of Health to show just how simple, powerful, and life-saving Hands-Only CPR really is.

An honor, a lot of laughs, and an incredible day at the New York State Capitol for the State of the State.
