Our hearts are with our Bend community tonight.

Today's heartbreaking news hits close to our hearts. My husband grew up in Bend, we still have family there, and in so many ways, Bend will always be our other home. This community holds a very special place in our hearts.

As a family who has experienced the devastating impact of gun violence as well as the unimaginable heartbreak of losing a child, our hearts ache for those whose lives have been forever changed. We know how quickly life can change and how deeply grief can impact a family for years to come.

Tonight, we're holding the families, students, educators, first responders, and the entire Bend community close in our hearts.

We know that grief changes lives, but we also know the power of compassion, connection, and community in helping one another through the darkest moments.

If today's news has left you feeling overwhelmed, heartbroken, afraid, or simply struggling to process it all, please know you don't have to carry those feelings alone. Lean on those around you, give yourself grace, and allow yourself to feel whatever you need to feel.

To our Bend community, we grieve with you, we stand beside you, and we're sending you all the love and strength we can.
