Caring for an aging loved one can feel overwhelming, especially when they need more support during the day but are not ready for full-time care.
Adult Day Health Care can be a helpful middle ground between staying home independently and moving into assisted living.
Here are a few signs it may be the right fit:
They should not be left alone during the day - Maybe they forget things, become confused, have mobility concerns, or simply feel unsafe by themselves.
They need help with daily care - This can include bathing, dressing, medications, meals, or managing chronic health conditions.
They would benefit from socialization - Isolation and loneliness can take a real toll on older adults. Adult day programs offer activities, meals, conversation, and connection.
They have memory or physical challenges - Programs are often especially helpful for individuals living with dementia, mobility limitations, or other ongoing medical needs.
Family caregivers need support too - Sometimes the biggest sign is caregiver exhaustion. Respite care allows caregivers time to work, rest, or simply recharge while knowing their loved one is safe.
Adult Day Health Care is not “giving up.”
For many families, it is a way to help their loved one continue living at home longer while getting the support everyone needs. Do you know someone who would benefit from our services?
