Join JoJo Phoenix Frank, founder of Touch and Change LLC, and Elaine Sheff, founder of Green Path Herbal School, with musical support from Matthew Nord, for a unique and timely all day grief ritual. This ritual is for those with tender hearts: whether you are feeling pain from personal losses, the sorrowful reality of violence and degradation in our world, or likely, both, you are welcome. We will utilize singing, movement, poetry, writing, sharing, and connection with one another and the earth to move through our grief with grounded containment and broad support.

Lupine Fest! Join us June 13th, from 4-9(ish) pm for a family-friendly celebration of music and community!🪻☀️🪘🌿

Here’s our musical line-up:

🪻4 pm - Potluck! Bring a dish to share and join us to eat and hang on the lawn before the music starts.

🪻Matthew will be kicking off the musical portion of our evening with a drum circle at 5 pm. Matthew leads with rhythm — not just the beat of the drum, but the heartbeat of human connection. For over a decade, he has facilitated gatherings that blend drum circles, movement, breathwork, and sound into immersive experiences that are as grounding as they are uplifting. Together, he and his wife collaborate as a musical and visual arts duo, doing workshops and events through

🪻Lee Rizzo is a word nerd, a poetess, to do lister, and metaphor fanboy. Attempting to meet love as it is revealed to her while spinning it into verse, melody and craft. She hopes to express what she observes, dreams and wonders in performance and community. Lee grew up in Missoula and has been raising two daughters with her main squeeze and wrestling companion. She means well and does her best and sometimes cool stuff comes by way of her efforts.

🪻Pronto Alivio is a Missoula-based band blending soulful storytelling with an intimate, genre-bending sound. Fronted by Ceci Elizabeth (vocals, cello, guitar, keys), their music draws from time in Colombia and moves across love, grief, and change—woven through bilingual lyrics (Spanish/English) and influences from blues, folk, reggaetón acústico, and llanero grooves. Featuring Matthew Nord, Marko Cappoferri, and Callie Woodman, the band brings warmth, groove, and dynamic energy to original music. Recent highlights include sharing the stage with Canta Brasil, packed shows around Missoula, and a Tiny Desk video with 50k+ views.

We can’t wait for this special event, bringing music, rhythm and dancing to our community along the I-90W corridor! Happening June 13th ~ Registration link is in our bio, feel free to email us as well with any questions. ☀️

Summer Solstice felt like it had an extra kick of magic this year ✨🌺🌻🎴

Calling in a continued flow of opportunities to create, dance and make music with our stellar community out here in Alberton ~ some days I can’t actually believe this is my life 🤩 and what a life we’ve all co-created out here together 🙌

Sound bathing the community was such a treat as well. Endless gratitude for my partner in sound .yoga.sound and thank you for the invitation to be a part of your vision.

A little additional footage of and opening up the dance floor on Saturday night. No video of and her hubby doing their thing later, but my goodness was it was epic!

Cheers to more as we cross over this high point of the sun and year 🥂🌞🌄

It’s been a little over seven months since I spent a November day walking the mountain behind my home, from sun up to sun down.

I have revisited some of the special spots that drew me in that day since, whenever I’ve needed the reminders of the lessons spoken to me that day.

Today the mama elk remains, that last autumn asked to be reunited with her body, and later her baby, stood out to me again…a reminder to keep grounded in my commitments to myself and my children.
Stay out of your head.
Notice when you start sorting people or experiences into boxes, to ease your mind or make sense of things you don’t know.
Ground into what’s real and stable.
The rest will fall into place. Or it won’t.
Either way, I have my foundation.

Sunny St John’s Wort flowers popping out of the hillside added a bright reminder of the sun’s capacity to shine through us all.

When I got to the Wild roses by the springs, I saw that I had missed collecting the bulk of their petals.
Instead slowly plumping rose hips promised to be there for me in late summer, when my heart may be more ready for her medicine again.

The rain poured this Summer Solstice, saturating every step of the way.
Yet even without the sunlight,
the radiance of this time of year was palpable.
And the arrival of yet another mile marker in the year was felt.

A year ago, if you’d told me I’d feel this happy and alive, I wouldn’t have believed you. I got up the other morning, meditated and dictated two poems into my phone. I read poetry every evening, watching the sunset from my porch. Most days I wind down peacefully at a regular time, others I stay up all night making art with dear friends, jamming to music under the stars. And I sing, all the time, while dancing in my kitchen.

2024-2025 showed me that the death of something you think you want more than anything in the world, really can bring about the most beautiful rebirth of something new, and more inspiring than you could have ever imagined. I feel emancipated, free from obsessive problem solving and what I thought had to be. Each day brings more insight, and every relationship I nurture a different flavor of joy.

I feel this in my partner I parted from as well. It’s truly wonderful watching him walk his own way in the new life he’s carved out for himself. 💚

If you find yourself holding on too tight, here’s your encouragement to let go. It really might surprise you more than you think, when you loosen your grip and feel into the space on the other side ~
