It's not goodbye, it's a see you at Daisy's NA Bar & Bottle Shop !
This week, I taught my last classes for now at The Yoga Mix -Maryville/Alcoa, and I'm feeling all the feels. We are opening up Daisy's Non-alcoholic Bar and Bottle Shop, and I'll be teaching yoga there regularly once we get up and going.
Two years ago, fresh out of teacher training with the Kula Collective, Amanda Hatcher gave me the chance to teach a pop-up class. I was so nervous and excited, and proud to step outside my comfort zone at 30 years old. From that first class, I put my heart into teaching, whether it was subbing, teaching online, or at the new The Yoga Mix -Lenoir City location to start. Today, I can't believe I can say I'm a real-life yoga teacher.
Yoga has been so important to me, especially on my sobriety journey. It's given me a way to move through life's highs and lows and this experience has shown me that it's never too late to start something new.
A huge thank you to all my students! Your support and encouragement have meant so much. Thank you for breathing, moving, and especially laughing with me when I mess up my left and right. 😊
I can't wait to see you all for yoga and mocktails at Daisy's later this year!
