A glimpse into my create process with my little shadow Saphira.

I'm working on my favorite flash sheets to date. I'm *intending* on having a 2 week flash party June 25-27 and July 2-4. But I don't want to rush perfection. My theme is retro, neon, and beach. It's a very ME theme. July is MY month. I celebrate my 37th birthday, my 12th anniversary to my incredible husband, and 20 years from the loss of my father. My father brought me up as a lover of classic rock and a graphic designer from a super young age. I genuinely think he'd be proud of me and this crazy little business I've created. While drawing I've been listening to possibly every Pink Floyd album and the newer solo albums of David Glimour. I'll share my current favorite music video in the comments.

I know it's been a while since I've made a post or shared some new photography of tattoo work. Admittedly, I've never been awesome at being a timely poster. I'm not a huge fan of social media.

Lately, I've had a heavy heart. I lost a dear friend, recently. It's sad that death showed me how important she become to me. In 12 years we shared hundreds of manicures, about 10 tattoos, and so many stories I could write a book. She always believed in me.

In my sadness and grief, a little advice... Take a moment to step back and look at who is actually in your circle and let them know how much they mean to you.

P.S. I've got some fun art up my sleeve for an end of June and early July flash party. However don't let that stop you from reaching and scheduling that custom piece you have in mind.

What I've done with my time off so far. A new painted ceiling tile! I'm now inspired to make canvas versions of stained glass flowers and my cats.
