Research reviewed by the American Psychological Association connects time in nature with attention restoration, lower stress, and improved mood. ๐ŸŒฟ

A nature practice does not require a distant retreat. It can begin by noticing the changing light, watching leaves move, listening for birds, or walking without immediately filling the silence.

These simple moments invite attention beyond the constant stream of tasks and screens. In that wider field of awareness, it may become easier to reconnect with your body, your surroundings, and the quieter questions within you. ๐Ÿƒ

There's a name for the sense you use to read your own inner state: **interoception**. ๐ŸŒฟ

This review in *Trends in Neurosciences* describes it as the sensing, interpretation, integration, and regulation of signals originating inside the body. It underpins essential physiological functions like breathing, eating, and temperature regulation, and also the whole range of psychological experience, from feelings and emotions to motivation and adaptive behavior.

What's striking is the framing. This isn't mysticism. It's a recognized sensory system, studied with the same rigor as sight or hearing.

Which means "listen to your body" describes something real, and like any sense, attention sharpens it. โœจ

Harvard Health describes mindfulness as deliberate awareness of thoughts, feelings, and experiences as they occur. ๐ŸŒฟ This type of attention can help us notice when urgency, distraction, or habit is shaping a decision.

Inner guidance is rarely strengthened by forcing immediate certainty. A grounded pause makes room for bodily information, personal values, context, and practical evidence.

Discernment is not about distrusting intuition. It is about giving intuition enough space to become clearer, steadier, and more actionable. โœจ

Spirituality does not need to be separated from ordinary life. ๐ŸŒฟ Research on spirituality and well-being explores connections among meaning, purpose, relationships, nature, and human flourishing.

A grounded spiritual practice can influence how you listen, make decisions, care for your energy, respond to change, and relate to others. Its value is not measured by constant intensity or extraordinary experiences.

Consider one question: *How does what I believe shape how I live today?* Integration happens when inner reflection becomes visible through compassionate, thoughtful, and practical action. โœจ

Organizational psychologist Tasha Eurich's research, published in Harvard Business Review, found a gap worth sitting with: while roughly 95% of people believe they're self-aware, only about 10 to 15% actually meet the criteria. ๐ŸŒฟ

Eurich's work also found that seniority tends to widen the gap rather than close it. The higher people rise, the fewer honest mirrors they have: fewer people positioned to offer candid feedback, and less comfort among those who could.

This isn't a verdict on anyone's character. It's a structural observation: self-knowledge doesn't accumulate automatically with experience.

It's built deliberately, through reflection, honest input, and the willingness to look. Which is exactly what a practice is for. โœจ

There's a quiet voice you've learned to override. ๐ŸŒฟ
Not loud. Just steady, and usually right.

Coaching is where you learn to hear it and act on it. Mara partners with you across both: your inner guidance and the real-life steps needed to bring it forward.
