On World Hospice and Palliative Care Day, we're highlighting the important role hospice and palliative care play in helping patients and families navigate serious illness.

Both hospice and palliative care focus on comfort, quality of life and support, helping patients receive care that aligns with their goals and wishes. Palliative care can begin at diagnosis and alongside treatment. Hospice care is typically chosen when treatment is no longer working or a patient decides to stop curative treatment for a terminal illness, shifting the focus to comfort, quality of life and support for both the patient and their loved ones.

We had the honor and pleasure of pinning the Glasper brothers, Mr. James and Mr. Willie.
This pinning was amazing, these brothers served together in the United States Army during the Korean war.

In fact, sleeping right next to each other in the barracks. And to this day, they live right around the corner from each other still looking after each other.

It was awesome watching the love this family has for one another.

On behalf of Compassionate Care Hospice “Thank you for your service”, Mr. James and Mr. Willie Glasper.

We had pleasure of honoring Mr. Kenneth King with a Veteran Pinning Ceremony.
Mr. King served 4 years as a Marine and 16 years with the United States Air Force.
He retired as a Law Enforcement Supervisor and was an instructor at the ATC. In fact,
he was instructor to our own Chaplain Dom when he was in the Air Force. So appropriate
that Dom now had the honor of pinning him after all these years.
On behalf of Compassionate Care Hospice “Thank you for your service” Mr. King
