FORTE Foundation was established in 2001 by Bobby E. Smith, Ph.D., a former Louisiana State Trooper who was shot and blinded in the line of duty. FORTE Foundation provides psychological services to Louisiana Law Enforcement Officers and their families for mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual healing. FORTE Foundation offers educational workshops and training conferences specifically designed

for those who have been burdened by psychological trauma due to the accumulation of stress, death, grief, and loss. FORTE Foundation is dedicated to providing a safe haven where the Louisiana Law Enforcement Family can receive mental and emotional healing at minimum cost to the individual.
