Well, this was awfully kind. 🥹🤎

A little love from Lakes ArLakes Area Wellness Collectiveonal network of wellness practitioners that we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming into Studio She for their Alexandria-area gatherings.

And yes, two different collectives! 😆

While Studio She is its own women-centered wellness and movement studio, we’ve enjoyed getting to know more of the people doing meaningful work in our community through these gatherings.

One of my favorite parts of building Studio She has been discovering just how much I love creating space for other women to do their work, share their passions, and bring their own visions to life.

So to have someone recognize that part of what we’re creating here? That means an awful lot. 🤎

We’ll be welcoming LAWC back for another practitioner meet-and-greet this month, alongside a yoga class with CoreCore 4 Yoga - Stephanie Schuette at the studio.
We’d love to see some new faces!

Thank you, Lakes Area Wellness Collective, for the thoughtful words and for seeing the heart behind Studio She. 🫶🏼

✨ PRACTITIONER SPOTLIGHT ✨

Meet Jennifer Weber, founder of Studio She Collective , Somatic Practitioner, and Founding Member of the Lakes Area Wellness Collective! 🌿

Located in Alexandria, Minnesota, Studio She Collective is a women-centered wellness space built on a beautiful belief: care doesn’t have to happen in isolation.

Jen has created a space where women can find connection, support, and a variety of wellness experiences all under one roof. By bringing together practitioners and instructors from different disciplines, Studio She honors the many ways women care for themselves through life’s changing seasons.

✨ From massage and somatic bodywork to pelvic health physical therapy, mental health support, yoga, Pilates, dance, meditation, Reiki, and workshops, Studio She offers opportunities for women to explore what wellness looks and feels like for them.

What makes this space especially meaningful is its commitment to whole-person care, recognizing that every woman’s needs, experiences, and path to well-being are unique.

🤎 We’re grateful to have Jen and Studio She Collective as part of our growing wellness community! Their collaborative approach reflects so much of what the Lakes Area Wellness Collective is about: bringing people, practitioners, and resources together so that wellness feels more connected and accessible.

A little nuance, because it is very important!

ADHD is real.
Hormonal changes are real.
Low libido is real.
Anxiety, stress, muscle tension, burnout…. all real!!

This isn’t an either/or.

But I think we’re very quick to ask,
“What’s wrong with me?”

…and much slower to ask:

How available am I?
How many people have access to me?
How often am I interrupted?
How many decisions am I making?
How much of my day is spent responding, anticipating, managing, touching, being touched, answering, remembering, holding?

Because sometimes the thing we’re calling a personality trait, a boundary problem, or another symptom to fix is happening inside a life where we are almost never truly unavailable.

And eventually, even things we love can start to feel like one more demand.

That’s a big part of what we mean when we talk about being accessed out.

Needed too much.
Reached too easily.
Responsive for too long.

That’s what we’re getting into at Touched Out on October 25—together with the somatic/bodywork, nervous system, pelvic health, and mental health lenses.

Not just “take more time for yourself.”

We’re talking about what happens when there’s too little room left for you
(and what it can look like to begin actually making some)

Not every kind of care needs to be a big event.

Sometimes it’s a Monday lunch break spent moving your body instead of running one more errand.

Sometimes it’s walking into Flow + Yin Yoga after the kind of day that felt like three. 😅

And sometimes it’s showing up on a Saturday morning with a baby on your hip, knowing you don’t have to apologize for feeding them, fussing, or needing a break.

These ordinary little pockets of the week matter, too.

And honestly? That’s a big part of what we’re building here.

Not just workshops and special events, but places to return to. Familiar faces. Movement that meets you in the middle of real life. And opportunities to make a little room for yourself in a week that’s probably already pretty full.

This week at Studio She, we’ve got Pilates, Yoga, and Saturday’s Postpartum & Play.

Come as you are. We’ll make room for the rest. 🤎

There’s so much more to the women who make up Studio She than what you see on our class calendar.

Their experiences. Their stories. The things they’ve studied, lived through, questioned, and discovered along the way.

And all of it informs what they bring into the room.

The women who make up this collective have found their way here in different ways. What I’ve been intentional about is the fit. Not identical backgrounds or approaches, but shared values in how we see, support, and care for women.

Because what someone knows matters. Absolutely. But so does who they are and how they meet the person walking through the door.

Thoughtfully held, deeply informed. 🤍

And I’d love to start sharing more of the women behind that philosophy.

Starting with Gretchen Melo.

After a traumatic experience in her 30s, Gretchen spent years in healing and self-inquiry. Along the way, she rediscovered lifelong passions like music, singing, writing, and acting. That journey helped shape The Resonant Way and the work she now shares with others.

Outside of her work, she’s a mother, a wife, a lover of books and learning, and someone who genuinely values solitude, journaling, time in nature, and the space to simply be.

When asked what she believes women need more of right now, her answer was:

“I believe women need to be more empowered not only to DO, but to unapologetically BE.”

And I think that says so much about what she brings into the room.

No expectations. No particular experience you need to have. Sometimes rest is enough. Sometimes something deeper shifts.

Gretchen has also brought that philosophy to the page through her book and guided journal, The Resonant Way.

And if Gretchen’s words resonate with you, I really encourage you to take a look at her upcoming Resonant Way Retreat. She’s poured so much of what informs her work into this experience, creating space for women to step away from the demands of everyday life and spend some intentional time exploring what it means to come back to themselves.

Take a peek at what she’s put together. We’ll share the retreat details and registration link in Stories. 🤍

We’re so glad Gretchen found her way to Studio She.

Maybe you’re not antisocial.
Maybe you don’t suddenly hate your husband.
Maybe dinner isn’t actually that offensive. 😂

Maybe you’ve just been too available to too many things for too long.

Too many questions.
Too many decisions.
Too many notifications.

Too many people needing access to your attention, your body, your brain, your emotional bandwidth.

And eventually even perfectly normal bids for connection can start to feel like one more thing.

That’s the conversation underneath Touched Out.

Because it isn’t really about touch.

Sometimes what you’re craving is a moment where nobody can reach you.

And that’s OK!

This week’s schedule kind of says everything I want Studio She to be. 🤎

A Pilates class because you want to feel strong.
Flow + Yin Yoga because Monday was… a lot.
Reiki because maybe you are very, very tired of being the one doing the giving.
A Sound Journey because your brain has officially had enough input.
Postpartum + Play because you need somewhere you can bring the baby, feed them on the floor, move when you can, stop when you need to, and not apologize for any of it.

Because women’s needs are not particularly tidy.

They don’t show up one at a time.
They don’t wait politely for the previous season to end.

You can want to feel strong and desperately need rest.
Crave connection and also want everyone to leave you alone.
Need movement, quiet, support, space, challenge, care — sometimes within the span of a few days.

And really, that overlap is the whole point!

Studio She was never meant to offer one version of wellness or one way a woman is supposed to care for herself.

It was meant to have enough range for real women living real lives.

Different seasons. Different needs. Sometimes all at once.

Come for what fits this week. ✨
We are here for it all 🤎
