☀️ Not every spot is “just a sun spot.”
As we spend more time outdoors this season, it’s important to pay attention to changes in your skin. While sun spots are common and often related to years of sun exposure, some skin changes may need a closer look.
Keep an eye out for:
🔎 Spots that change in size, shape, or color
🔎 New marks that appear suddenly
🔎 Areas that itch, bleed, or don’t heal
🔎 Irregular borders or uneven coloring
The good news? Daily sun protection can make a difference. Wear broad-spectrum sunscreen, seek shade when possible, and don’t skip reapplying.
If something on your skin doesn’t seem right, don’t ignore it — check in with your healthcare provider or dermatologist.
Your skin health matters 💙
Sunspots and skin cancer may look similar, but their treatment plans differ. While sunspots are usually harmless, skin cancer requires immediate treatment.
