Well I’ve been worried about Michal’s Fiat 500c convertible.

It wasn’t starting, and I know nothing about vehicles.

Thank God it was just a battery!

This was her baby. And it got us to Arizona and was such a fun car for the two of us.

That may sound silly, but small things matter.

“For from Him, Through Him, To Him are all things. To you be the Glory, Forever, to You be the Glory Lord, Amen!”

Our lives are meant to glorify the Lord.

“In dark and light, in death and life, when hard times enter in. In all things we will worship you! With you there is no end!!!”

We sang this way before any diagnosis. But it became our reality. Worshipping in Our Midnight!

WITH YOU, there is NO END!!!!

I found this last night and it hit me really hard!

At the time we didn’t know exactly what we were singing. Today, I am acquainted with it intimately.

The last year and a half we couldn’t sing praise songs in the car on our way to work without tears.

When you read the word, sing the songs, talk of God’s goodness, remember these words.

It will solidify your faith in ways you never knew possible.

TO YOU be the glory, Lord!

As Paul writes in Philippians 4:8, "Whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things."

This was the verse on our Cupcakery wall in Franklin.

It was Michal’s message to our customers.

It’s my verse now, to remember all the good God bestowed on us for over twenty years.

When you can’t see the goodness of God in the present because of the circumstances, remember the acts he was seen doing in the past!

And remember he’s the same today as then.

Preston Morrison was a huge spiritual mentor to Michal and I in our faith walk through cancer.

This message on his Instagram sums it up.

“Even if.” I know, we knew our God still held the words of eternal life!

Do I know why this happened in our lives?

No. But I’ve seen 👀 why. Our faith grew even in this, and that’s enough, but I suspect there’s so much more, that I don’t know about this past season, that God’ll clue me into later.

I’m doing ok.

Back in 2019, we made a life altering decision, to move both sets of our parents in.

The first step was figuring out my parent’s and we’d just met with the elder attorney and my siblings about that process. Slightly stressful.

I think I might have been breaking under the pressure right here.

I guarantee Michal and I together worked through it with humor, mercy and grace.

Lots of grace!

One thing those in your lives who are grieving need is lots of grace!

And a person that will let them let off steam however that looks.

So we were late.

Usually blamed on me.

Evidence of her own statement here indicates she didn’t care!!!! She needed coffee and a breakfast sandwich.

So!!!! I’m not always the one that made us late!

But I guess I contributed.
