We are incredibly honored to share that Gratiot Integrated Health Network was named Child Advocacy Organization of the Year at the annual Child Advocacy Banquet.

We are grateful for this meaningful recognition and proud to share the words presented in honor of GIHN:

“Over the past several years, Gratiot Integrated Health Network—GIHN—has expanded its reach across our community in meaningful ways. They are a valued partner with the Gratiot County Collaborative Council, the Gratiot Substance and Su***de Prevention Coalition, Child Advocacy, MyMichigan Medical Center–Alma, local schools, law enforcement, and many others.

GIHN has built a dedicated, engaged workforce that consistently shows up at the table, collaborates through complex situations, and helps navigate resource challenges. Their leadership has been instrumental in removing barriers to care and expanding access to services.

GIHN is woven into the fabric of Gratiot County, continually evolving to meet community needs. At their core is a commitment to high-quality behavioral health services grounded in a deep understanding of those they serve.

A significant portion of their work supports children and families. Even amid fiscal challenges, shifting policies, and changing environments, GIHN continues to innovate. One example is their use of telehealth to support displaced youth in out-of-home care, ensuring familiar faces and trusted support remain accessible during critical moments.

They have also strengthened 24/7 crisis services through Crisis Care Access, providing faster, more personalized support for children and families. As a key partner in the Gratiot County Crisis Response Team, they provide trauma mitigation and education following critical incidents. GIHN also maintains a longstanding commitment to the mental health of women and children, working to improve birth outcomes and support healthy families.

There is no question that GIHN makes a lasting difference in the lives of children and families in Gratiot County.”

This award belongs to the many GIHN clinicians and staff who serve youth and families every day. We deeply appreciate your dedication, compassion, and commitment to ensuring children and families in our community have access to the support they need.

Thank you to Child Advocacy and all of our community partners for this incredible honor. Together, we are helping create stronger, healthier futures for Gratiot County children and families. 💙

This past week, GIHN staff took part in a Casual for a Cause, with donations supporting Child Advocacy. Together, our team raised $159.

Even more meaningful—thanks to a matching campaign through the United Way of Greater Central Michigan, every dollar raised during April was matched, doubling the impact.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to support a community partner and be part of something that gives back to Gratiot County. 💛
