Gratiot Pharmacy will open at 1:00 PM on Saturday so our team can participate in the parade festivities.

Gratiot Pharmacy is growing, and we are looking for the right person to join our team as a Part-Time Pharmacy Technician, with the potential for full-time opportunities as our business continues to grow.

We are preferably seeking a State Certified Pharmacy Technician. However, we also highly value individuals with other healthcare or customer service experience who are community-oriented, compassionate, adaptable, and genuinely passionate about helping people. Individuals looking to transition into healthcare or build a long-term career in community pharmacy are also encouraged to apply. We are willing to help train and guide the right candidate toward state certification.

This is not simply a position to “fill hours.”

Community pharmacy requires patience, compassion, critical thinking, and a willingness to help people during some of the most stressful moments in their lives. We are looking for someone who takes ownership, treats patients with dignity and empathy, communicates with care, and understands that small extra efforts can make a meaningful difference for someone in our community — not treat patients like just another number or transaction.

Strong computer skills are absolutely necessary. The ideal candidate must be able to quickly learn new pharmacy software systems, adapt to changing workflows, multitask efficiently, and pick up new concepts in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Responsibilities may include:
• Assisting pharmacists with workflow and prescription processing
• Insurance billing and prior authorization coordination
• Answering phones and assisting patients
• Communication with providers and healthcare offices
• Inventory management and medication ordering
• Assisting with medication synchronization, bubble packaging, and delivery coordination
• Providing excellent customer service and patient support
