I absolutely LOVE it when my patients do all the things with me! 🤍

This amazing patient is truly the full-circle patient. She stays consistent with her neuromodulator appointments every 3 months—with my favorite, Xeomin, of course! She prioritizes her skincare, protein, thyroid and hormone optimization, lifting weights… and now we’re adding SOFWAVE to the mix. 🙌

We’re currently using SOFWAVE to address cellulite on her butt and thighs, as well as treating the area above her knees. We have two more cellulite sessions planned, another session above the knees, and then we’ll be talking about arms, back, face, and neck.

At this rate, she’s going to be the SOFWAVE QUEEN! 👑

🚨 Ladies, did you know you actually have MORE testosterone circulating in your body than estrogen?

Yes—you read that correctly.

We’ve been taught to think of estrogen as the “female hormone” and testosterone as the “male hormone.”

But testosterone is a female hormone, too—and women have substantially more circulating testosterone than most realize.

Here’s why this can be confusing:

Your testosterone and estrogen results are typically reported using different units of measurement, so you can’t simply look at the two numbers on your lab report and compare them.

🧬 When scientists put them into comparable units—looking at their molar concentrations, or essentially the number of molecules present—testosterone circulates at substantially higher concentrations than estradiol in women.

That DOESN’T mean estrogen isn’t incredibly important.

It means testosterone is far more important to female physiology than many women have been led to believe.

And yet…

For reference, the BEFORE is always on the left or on top, followed by the AFTER.

This patient has now had 2 Sofwave treatments, performed about 3 months apart. These photos were taken 2 months after her second treatment, which means she still has more time for collagen remodeling and tightening to continue.

She came in today for her routine neuromodulator and natural gel filler appointment, so before we treated her, I grabbed these updated photos.

I really want you to look at the under-chin and neck area, because this is such a common concern for women.

✨ Less hanging underneath the chin
✨ A sharper-looking jaw/under-chin area
✨ Neck lines appear softer and less noticeable
✨ Cheek and nasolabial fold areas also appear softer compared with where she started

✨ 62 years young — and proof that consistency matters. ✨

This patient hadn’t really maintained a regular Botox/neuromodulator routine in the past. She started treatments about 5–6 years ago, but they were pretty inconsistent. For almost the past year, however, she’s been seeing me consistently every 3 months for her neuromodulator treatments, using both Xeomin® and Dysport®, and she does beautifully with both.

These photos are taken at rest — no raising the brows or making expressions. The BEFORE is 2 weeks before treatment, and the AFTER is 2 weeks after treatment.

At 62, we’re working with lines that have developed over many years, so the goal isn’t necessarily a completely flat, frozen forehead. What I love is the softer, smoother, more relaxed appearance while still keeping her looking like herself. 🤍

And the best compliment? She told me today that someone recently asked her, “Did you have a facelift or something?” Nope! Just consistent neuromodulator treatments. 🙌
