Happi Go Bambi

Happi Go Bambi For the New Year, I decided to create a fitness page called Let's Get Fit Atlanta. I had no motivation whatsoever. Spread the word!

I am 24 years old, a stay at home mother/wife to two girls ages 2 and 5 and I am also a photographer. From balancing that and getting the household on track, I started to lose myself. I always gave an excuse not to do something. I want to motivate those who feel they have nothing to offer. Those who were just like me and felt like giving up. I know many people who's YEARLY resolution is to lose we

ight and get fit but first, I want them to learn how to make themselves HAPPY with who they are in the inside and that the outside is just a bonus. There are over 35% of adults that are obese today. That percentage doesn't even include our children. This has got to stop. Together, we can save lives and bring happiness! On our page are healthy hearty recipes along with useful health information. Great guides to get fit and fitness gatherings. I hope it can come in handy for you also! Happy New YOU!

Are your seedlings a bit leggy (stretched)? This can be due to multiple of reasons.

🌞 1. Not Enough Sunlight
Some plants need at least 6–8 hours of direct sun.
Without it, stems stretch desperately toward the light.

What you can do:
Move containers into fuller sun or thin surrounding plants. If starting indoors, place seedlings directly under grow lights (2–3 inches above the tops).

🌱 2. Overcrowding (as shown in this video)
When seedlings are too close, they compete for light and nutrients. I am experimenting with the as I've had great results in the past.

What you can do:
Thin them. Give each plant 12–18 inches of breathing room.

🌡️ 3. Too Much Warmth
Kale is a cool-season crop. Excess heat encourages stretching instead of sturdy growth.

What you can do:
Plant in early spring or fall. In warmer regions, aim for late winter sowing or early autumn for stronger structure.

🌑 4. Seedlings Not Planted Deep Enough
Weak stems often mean shallow planting.

What you can do:
When transplanting, bury the stem deeper up to the first leaves. Kale will root along the buried stem and anchor itself.

💧 5. Inconsistent Watering
Stress from drying out can cause erratic growth.

What you can do:
Water deeply but not excessively. Keep soil evenly moist, rich in organic matter, and well-draining.

🌬️ 6. No Air Movement
Indoors especially, still air creates fragile stems.

What you can do:
Introduce a gentle fan or brush your hand lightly over seedlings daily to strengthen them naturally.

There's still hope for leggy seedlings! 💚

Let's talk about chaotic gardening. Is it something you did intentionally or by accident?

And can someone PLEASE tell me if this is a turnip, parsnip or daikon radish? 😩

Did you know Poison Ivy is still VERY MUCH active in the wintertime?
Those hairy vines you see on trees are loaded with Urushiol, the oil responsible for causing horrible skin reactions.

‼️REMEMBER‼️DO NOT EVER BURN POISON IVY AS THE OILS CAN PENETRATED AND SEVERELY IRRITATE YOUR LUNGS AND EYES.
