Hope Center of Georgia Dr. Hope Ashby Dr. Ashby has been a sexuality educator and therapist for over 15 years. Dr. Ashby has also been a consultant to many agencies and companies.

Dr. Ashby specializes in sexuality issues as well as relationship and trauma related problems. She received a Master of Arts in Human Sexuality and a Master of Clinical Social Work from New York University. Dr. Ashby received her Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Columbia University. Dr. Ashby is dually appointed as Assistant Clinical Professor in the Departments of Obstetrics & Gynecology a

nd Psychiatry at Morehouse School of Medicine and is currently in practice in Atlanta, GA. She is currently a consultant to Johnson Publishing, specifically Ebony Magazine. In this capacity Dr. Ashby has written various articles around Black female sexuality, and developed an international survey for the magazine on the sexual attitudes and behaviors of Black women. Dr. Ashby has presented at various professional national and international conferences around the sexuality needs of women. She has been featured on various radio talk shows around the country. Dr. Ashby has served as the Executive Director of the Foundation for the Scientific Study of Sexuality from 1998- 2000 and has served on a panel of experts for the Women’s Mental Health Consortium under the Office of Women’s Health in Washington, DC.
