Heat vs. Ice 🔥❄️ When to use each?

❄️ ICE = Calm it down
Best for: new injuries, swelling, inflammation, sharp pain
Purpose:
• Reduces swelling
• Numbs pain
• Slows inflammation
• Helpful in first 24–72 hours after injury

Examples: sprains, acute strains, swollen joints, post-workout flare-ups

🔥 HEAT = Loosen it up
Best for: tight muscles, stiffness, chronic aches
Purpose:
• Increases blood flow
• Relaxes tight muscles
• Improves mobility/flexibility
• Helps with chronic tension or soreness

Examples: neck tension, low back stiffness, muscle tightness

⚠️ Quick rule:
If it’s swollen/hot → ICE
If it’s tight/stiff → HEAT
