💊 Why Anastrozole with Testosterone Therapy?
When men take testosterone, the body can naturally convert some of that testosterone into estrogen through a process called aromatization.
For some men, too much of that conversion can lead to elevated estrogen levels and unwanted symptoms.
That’s where anastrozole may come in. When clinically appropriate, it can help reduce the amount of testosterone being converted into estrogen—helping us keep hormone levels better balanced while optimizing testosterone therapy.
The goal isn’t to eliminate estrogen. Men need estrogen too! It’s about finding the right balance for each patient based on symptoms, lab work, and how they’re responding to treatment.
