It was a beautiful day to enjoy the outdoors as Cory from Pinnacle Hospice led our residents in a wonderful hymn sing. Everyone had such a lovely time singing along! 🎶☀️

Labor Day Picnic = SUCCESS! 🍓🇺🇸

Our Hilltop Labor Day Picnic turned out GREAT! From good food and even better company to a deliciously refreshing feature drink, it was the perfect way to celebrate together!

A huge THANK YOU to Pam Hettinger from UPMC Home Healthcare and Family Hospice for generously donating the ingredients and supplies for our featured drink: the Strawberry Shortcake Mocktail! ✨🍓 It was as delicious as it sounds and definitely a picnic favorite! 😋

And, of course, we have to give a HUGE shoutout to all of our Hilltop staff and every department! 👏❤️ This picnic could not have been such a great success without everyone working together as a team. From the planning and preparation to serving, setup, cleanup, and everything in between, it truly took all of us working together to make it happen!

We’re so grateful for our amazing Hilltop team and the wonderful community partners who help us create these special moments. 🇺🇸🍓❤️

🇺🇸Vet-to-Vet Café: Sharing Stories, Building Connections

Yesterday, we proudly hosted our first Vet-to-Vet Café with Laura, Senior Community Liaison at Adoration Hospice Altoona.

This gathering created a welcoming space for our Veterans to connect with fellow Veterans, enjoy meaningful conversation, and share their stories and experiences in a comfortable setting.

Together, we watched an interview with a Vietnam-era nurse who shared her personal story of service. Her experience inspired conversation, reflection, and connection among our Veterans.

Every Veteran has a story—and our Vet-to-Vet Café provides a place where those stories can be shared, heard, and honored.

A special thank-you to Laura for helping us create such a meaningful experience. We look forward to continuing these gatherings and giving our Veterans a place to connect with one another. 🇺🇸

SUMMERTIME FUN AT HILLTOP! ☀️🌽

What a fantastic day for a Corn Boil at Hilltop! 💛

The fun started with everyone gathering together to shuck the fresh corn 🌽—and what a great job they did! There were plenty of smiles, laughs, and helping hands along the way.

Then, with the help of our amazing Hilltop Dietary Department, the corn was boiled to absolute perfection! 👌🌽 And finally…it was time for the best part—EATING! 😋

Everyone enjoyed summertime at its finest with delicious, fresh-picked corn on the cob and great company. ☀️💛

A HUGE THANK YOU to Pam Hettinger from UPMC Home Healthcare and Family Hospice for helping make our Corn Boil extra special! We truly appreciate you spending the day with us and helping us create such a wonderful summer memory for our residents. 💕🌽

Friday, we had the privilege of hosting a beautiful Purple Heart Celebration honoring the 20 veterans who currently call Hilltop home. ❤️🤍💙

Laura Glass, Senior Community Liaison with Adoration Hospice, Pastor Terry, Nancy, our Activities Director, and our team came together to create a meaningful celebration filled with stories, memories, and gratitude.

Our veterans shared stories from their time serving our country, giving us a glimpse into the experiences and sacrifices that helped shape their lives. Each veteran was honored with a flag and veteran pin as a small token of our immense appreciation. 🇺🇸🎖️

To our 20 Hilltop veterans: thank you for your service, your courage, and the stories you continue to share with us. It is an honor to celebrate you today and every day. 💜
