I’ve had so many women tell me they don’t want to lift heavier or at all out of fear of looking “like a man”. So here’s the truth:

Strength training creates stronger bones, and is a preventative measure for osteoporosis. When the muscle develops, it places tension on the places where it’s attached to the bone, increasing bone density.

Strength training builds muscle which increases your basal metabolic rate (bmr), and in turn increases your metabolism making it easier to burn fat.

Strength training makes your stronger! If you’re looking into your future and worry about how your body will age, strength training will keep you moving longer. When we engage in physical activity we keep our joints lubricated, loose, and ready to chase kids and animals into the sunset.

So, don’t worry about becoming bulky. A good program will help you achieve the aesthetic you desire, while ushering you into a world of long term health benefits.

1. I’m not letting you do this alone. Not only am I here for you, but you’re joining a community of women ready to encourage you along the way.

2. I’m not holding you to unrealistic expectations. Life happens. We adjust, we adapt, and we move forward with an understanding that progress is not linear.

3. I’m not giving you a list of supplements on day 1. We will work together to find the right supplements, from quality brands, that add value to your journey. Supplementation is not one size fits all.

4. I’m not taking away your favorite food and drinks. Can’t live without your morning caffeine? Sounds good. Need a sweet treat after dinner? Cool. We work it into your program.

5. I’m absolutely not using AI to create your programs. AI has is uses sure, but it’s not doing my job for me. Your program is written with your body, lifestyle, ability, and preferences in mind. Why? Because it’s PERSONAL training. As a fitness professional, it my job to create a program that works for you, and I don’t take shortcuts.

If you’ve been waiting to try out a real program, here’s your sign. Lock in, and stop saying “one day”.

Consistency is key.

One workout alone won’t win. One workout alone doesn’t fail. It’s choosing to push through on the hard days. It’s keeping yourself accountable and following a plan.

Show up for you. Do it tired.

Skinny says depleted.

Strong says longevity.
Skinny says frail.

Strong says powerful.
Skinny says weak.

The truth is, when you look good you will feel good. But whether you purse bulky, dense muscle or lean, shapely muscle, the research doesn’t lie. Up to 36.6% of postmenopausal women with low bone mineral density suffer from severely low muscle mass. Muscle mass protects bone. That’s a fact.

So choose strong. Choose the slow route to create a lasting result, not a quick fix that depletes your body of nutrients.

5 things nobody tells you when you start the gym:

1. Asking for help may seem scary, but I’ve never met anyone in the gym who wouldn’t help you work a machine. You can always learn something new from other gym goers. ✌🏻

2. Supplements are just that- a supplement to your nutrition. If your eating habits aren’t gym ready, no supplement will save you. Find good quality supplements to enhance your performance, and boost results.

3. Progress isn’t linear, and that’s okay! Men and women profess differently. 20 something’s and 50 something’s progress differently, and that’s okay too! When you hit a plateau, adjust, take a breath, and lock in again.

4. Whoever said “we all have the same 24 hours” must really have their ducks in a row. 🙄 Get real. Everyone’s life, mental health, and responsibilities are different, so why do we expect the same results in the gym? Find what works for you. Added stress isn’t conducive to weight loss or muscle development.

5. Get a plan. Moving is great, don’t stop. But when you hit a wall, it’s not your body, it’s your plan. Progressive overload, calculated nutrients, and a structure to follow sets you up for success every time.
