Exciting news in retinal research! 👁️

Merck recently shared results from a clinical trial studying remigromig, a potential new treatment for diabetic macular edema (DME), an eye condition that can affect vision in people with diabetes.

Southwest Retina Specialists has a special connection to this research! During an earlier study, Dr. Eddie Ysasaga gave the first-ever human injection of remigromig.

While remigromig is still being studied and is not yet approved for clinical use, these latest findings mark an important step in its ongoing evaluation.
