Over the years through Panhandle Nutrition Therapy has had the privilege of supporting families through pregnancy, postpartum, infant feeding, and beyond. As Rachel’s passion for nurturing mothers and babies has continued to grow, it became clear that this work deserved a space of its own.

We’re excited to introduce Root & Bloom — an extension of Panhandle Nutrition Therapy dedicated to supporting families during the earliest stages of life.

Root & Bloom was created with the belief that when parents are nourished, supported, and empowered, families can truly flourish. Through evidence-based nutrition care, education, and compassionate guidance, Root & Bloom will focus on pregnancy, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding and lactation nutrition, infant feeding, food allergies, and early childhood nutrition.

While Panhandle Nutrition Therapy remains the foundation of the practice, Root & Bloom allows for further specialized care and education in helping families lay strong roots and bloom with confidence.

Thank you for being part of this journey. We can't wait to grow with you. 💛

Hi, I'm Rachel! 🤓

I'm the founder of Root & Bloom and a registered dietitian with specializing training and certificates in fertility/preconception, pregnancy/postpartum, and infant/pediatric nutrition.

But before any of those titles, I'm a wife and a mom who understands firsthand that feeding ourselves and our families isn't always as simple as social media makes it seem.

I created Root & Bloom (a sister company to Panhandle Nutrition Therapy) because I believe nutrition support through our childbearing years should feel different. It should be evidence-based, personalized, and free from judgment. Whether you're planning a pregnancy, trying to conceive, navigating pregnancy, learning to breastfeed, introducing solids, managing a child's special nutrition needs, or simply trying to feel more confident in your food choices, you deserve support that meets you where you are.

My goal is to help families build a strong foundation—a healthy root system—from which they can grow and bloom.

Here you'll find practical nutrition tips, myth-busting education, encouragement, and real-life conversations about feeding yourself and your family.

I'm so glad you're here. 💚

I'd love to get to know you—tell me below: what season of life are you in right now?

🚨 PCOS has a new name — and it matters.

➡️ Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS)

Why the change?

Because PCOS is about SO much more than “ovarian cysts.”
This condition affects the entire body — including:

✨ Hormones
✨ Metabolism & insulin resistance
✨ Fertility & ovulation
✨ Skin & hair health
✨ Mental health
✨ Long-term heart & metabolic health

Experts hope the new name will help people better understand that this is a complex metabolic and hormonal condition — not simply a reproductive issue.

As a nutrition professional, I’m encouraged to see more recognition of the metabolic side of this condition because supportive care should go far beyond “just lose weight.”

Women with PCOS/PMOS deserve:
✔️ earlier diagnosis
✔️ evidence-based care
✔️ compassionate support
✔️ individualized nutrition guidance

If you’ve been struggling with irregular cycles, insulin resistance, fatigue, acne, hair changes, or feeling dismissed in healthcare settings — you are not alone. Reach out today for personalized support through your health journey! 💛
