Now Hiring: Clinical Coordinator (LVN/RN) Gateway to Health Careers | Texas Panhandle
The Coalition of Health Services (COHS) is seeking a dedicated, driven Clinical Coordinator to support our Gateway to Health Careers program, an innovative initiative that provides health science certifications to high school students across the Texas Panhandle. This program partners with Canyon ISD, Region 16 ESC, and regional healthcare facilities to strengthen the rural healthcare workforce through hands-on learning and real-world clinical experience.
About the Role:
The Clinical Coordinator plays a vital role in preparing the next generation of healthcare professionals. You will provide hands-on instruction, ensure student competency in clinical skills, and coordinate clinical rotations across partner schools and healthcare facilities. This position requires travel throughout the Panhandle and close collaboration with educators, clinical instructors, and program leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver hands-on clinical skills training to students
Coordinate and schedule student clinical rotations
Collaborate with schools, healthcare facilities, and instructors
Evaluate student performance and ensure competency for certification
Support CNA/NATCEP program requirements and audits
Assist students through the certification testing process
Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with program standards
Qualifications:
Active Texas LVN or RN license
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
Eligible to serve as a NATCEP Instructor
Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Passion for teaching and mentoring students
Preferred:
Experience as a NATCEP instructor or in healthcare education
Additional Requirements:
Willingness to travel across the Texas Panhandle
Valid driver’s license
Ability to manage a flexible schedule
