Facial pain can have multiple causes.
Trigeminal neuralgia (TN) and temporomandibular disorders (TMD) are different conditions, but some patients experience both.
In this case, a patient with TN also had jaw pain, muscle tension, and difficulty chewing. After receiving personalized TMD care, she reported improved jaw function, less muscle tension, and fewer facial pain episodes while continuing her neurological care.
At TMJ Therapy Utah, we evaluate the jaw-related component of facial pain and support a collaborative treatment approach.
If you’re experiencing jaw pain, painful clicking, or difficulty chewing, schedule a consultation.

TMJ treatment does not replace treatment for trigeminal neuralgia. Individual results vary.
