I want to remember today. I’m not carrying this heaviness anymore. I’ve done a lot of work to get here and there was a definitive shift today that I won’t forget. Do the hard work and stop avoiding it. Or leaving it for your kids to carry on. Life is beautiful. All that matters is love. 🫶🏼

How are you showing your children to care for themselves through your actions? Good and bad. I’m preaching to myself as much as anyone else. Thanks for letting me share my mom win with you today. 🫶🏼

Keep showing up moms and dads, it all matters and adds up. ✨

It was about time for my semi-annual hair test and I’m feeling extra excited to see my results after my recent shift in my body and mind and anxiety/panic surging.

Definitely curious to see what my hormones, copper and heavy metals are up to.

This test is a cheap and great first step to lead you to further testing if needed or give answers of where to focus your energy based on what shows up on the test.

Many in the wellness space are talking about mold the last few years. It can be confusing. And also make you say what’s the big deal? Mold is normal.

Yes, we are all exposed to mold. Yes, mold is normal and natural. Yes, our bodies are designed to remove toxins (including mold) from our body.

AND!!!

We are living in an extremely toxic environment world. More toxic than our parents or grandparents or even what we experienced as children. Our toxin buckets are spilling over and our bodies can’t keep up with the burden. Add to that, some people genetically struggle to detox.

This is a complex subject. One I didn’t know I would be forced to learn about. Finding gratitude for the journey coming out the other side and hoping I can use it to help others who are experiencing confusing symptoms and struggling to find answers. I see you.

If you suspect mold as something that could be an issue for you or have a known exposure. These two books are the place I would start. There’s a quiz in book that will help you to understand your personal likelihood of mold illness/toxicity.

You aren’t alone. If you need support please reach out. 🫶🏼

COBALT plays an important role in digestion and liver function. Too low or too high here can stem from and lead to imbalances in the body.

B12 absorption, storage, and utilization is directly related to this crucial mineral.

This is how you look for the root cause to symptoms…

Supporting stomach acid/lining, B12, and bile flow are some of the ways we help bring this mineral back into balance.

Your life will change when you do something different. It’s not dramatic. It’s tiny shifts every day repeated. Seems boring. Consistency is sometimes boring. But it is what will CHANGE YOUR LIFE.

These two are my non negotiables every dang day.

1. Warm water with lemon and salt first thing everyday.

2. Walking outside.

The easiest and cheapest things you can do to improve your health.

Part 2- mold update

Do you want more updates like this??

In-depth update of my mold illness and timeline (including info on how I knew it was mold and testing and where I am at in the process). Fair warning this video is a little chaotic and loud because I was outside walking…
🥰If this doesn’t interest you feel free to skip but I wanted this document inc see I can help anyone with what I’ve learned on this journey…

If you know me, you know I love to workout. It became one of my best mental health as a mom management tools and has been key to building confidence in myself and has translated over into may other areas of my life being successful and having the confidence to get through other life hard things because I pushed myself hard at the gym and knew what I was capable of. I was strong, confident, and a bad*** until two years ago when I got hit with mold toxicity. It has required a major shift perspective and definition of success when it comes to working out.

Where once HIIT workouts and lifting heavy and pushing my body back to back days on end, now looks like maybe one higher cardio day a week or sometimes none in a week. I’ve had to learn to let go of what a successful workout used to look like to me and be more open to things looking different and getting my body to a place of safety and trust in itself again. That looks like walks, yoga, Pilates, a little bit of weights but not fast paced circuits of weights.

It’s looked like thanking my body after a workout for wherever it meets me each day. Some days that’s a few squats in the kitchen and some stretching on my floor before bed.

It’s been Slowing way down. Taking longer breaks between reps.

Keeping my heart rate lower range.
Less reps. Lower impact.
Checking in with my body in the morning. Some days it says nothing, and I listen.

Listening to my body during a workout. Not pushing thru signals of I’m not ok.

Eating before my workout to reduce stress.
Loving my body where it is now and not comparing to what I’ve been able to do in the past.

Being consistent with doing something. Whether it’s a stretch or testing a higher intensity workout.

With a Goal in the back of my mind of staying strong enough to do what I want to do in life and not have my body hold me back from that…

If you are in a season of slow down. i see you. I thought this season would be long gone and I’d be back to my old self. But I’m say goodbye to her and loving the new version of me that I’m building. Little by little and not knowing what she will look like. But still here doing something and not giving up….
