A few years ago, I decided to get back into sprinting after not racing since junior high. I was having fun, getting stronger, and even made it back to the National Championships.

Then life changed.

My wife was diagnosed with cancer. Training took a back seat. Stress piled up. Priorities shifted overnight.

Through that experience, I learned something most people never realize:

Your nervous system keeps score.

Chronic stress doesn't just affect your thoughts. It can affect your sleep, recovery, focus, emotional resilience, and even how you experience everyday life.

That journey changed how I think about stress, burnout, recovery, and the incredible role the nervous system plays in our well-being.

It's also one of the reasons I'm so passionate about helping overwhelmed nervous systems today.

This isn't just what I do. It's personal.

A lot of people think anxiety starts in the mind first.

But sometimes it starts in the nervous system.
