Hi, I'm Cheyenne! I'm the proud owner and founder of Pure Equine Performance Therapy LLC, and my passion for horses goes far beyond the saddle.

As a lifelong equestrian and Third Level dressage rider, I've experienced firsthand just how important it is to keep our equine partners feeling comfortable, moving freely, and performing at their best. Whether they're competitive athletes, retired companions, or simply our beloved four-legged best friends, I believe every horse deserves to feel their best.

My journey into equine bodywork began with my own horse, Amador Rey, who suffered an injury that ultimately led to his retirement from professional competition at just 11 years old. Through his recovery, I discovered the potential benefits of MagnaWave PEMF therapy and developed a deeper appreciation for the role supportive therapies can play in a horse's overall wellness. That experience inspired me to turn my passion for horses into a career dedicated to helping others.

Today, I am a Certified Equine Massage Specialist, Certified MagnaWave Practitioner, and trained in equine kinesiology taping. I combine my hands on experience as a rider and horse owner with my education in equine bodywork to provide individualized care tailored to each horse's unique needs.

After relocating from Wisconsin to Jacksonville, Florida, I am excited to continue growing Pure Equine Performance Therapy and serving horses and their owners throughout North and Central Florida.

At Pure Equine, my goal is simple: to support your horse's comfort, mobility, recovery, and overall well-being through compassionate, personalized care.

I understand that our horses aren't just animals — they're our partners, teammates, family members, and often our greatest teachers. That's why I approach every session with the same care, patience, and attention to detail that I would want for my own horse.

Because every horse deserves to feel good, move freely, and enjoy doing what they love.

I look forward to meeting you and your equine partner!

No, this horse isn’t showing off a new yoga pose. 😂🐴

It’s stretching into the MagnaWave session. ⚡

Animals can be pretty good at communicating what feels right during a session. You may see them lean into the coil, shift their body, stretch, yawn, lick, chew, or simply settle into relaxation as they respond to the PEMF session.

Sometimes, they’ll even reposition themselves in ways that help the practitioner follow their cues and focus the session where they seem to want it most.

No yoga class required—just an animal embracing its MagnaWave moment. 🐴⚡

Try it for yourself, risk free, at MagnaWavePEMF.com.

Thank you Susie Dutta for this awesome pic!

🐴 BALANCE PADS: MORE THAN JUST STANDING ON A SQUISHY SURFACE

At Pure Equine Performance Therapy, our goal isn’t simply to work on individual muscles—it’s to help support how the horse’s entire body works together.

That’s where balance pads can come in. 💜

When a horse stands on a slightly unstable surface, their body has to make small adjustments to maintain balance. Instead of isolating one muscle or area, this encourages communication and coordination throughout the whole body, including:

✨ Core engagement
✨ Deep postural muscles along the spine
✨ Hind-end support and weight distribution
✨ Shoulder stability and control
✨ Overall body awareness

That little “wobble” you may notice? We aren’t trying to make your horse unstable. The changing surface provides sensory input that encourages the horse to recognize where their body is in space and make small adjustments to stabilize themselves.

When appropriately incorporated into a horse’s individual program, balance pad work can help support:

✔️ Core activation
✔️ Postural stability
✔️ Coordination
✔️ Balance
✔️ Proprioception (body awareness)
✔️ More efficient use of the body

At Pure Equine Performance Therapy, we look at the whole horse. Balance pads can be incorporated alongside modalities such as equine sports massage, MagnaWave PEMF, and kinesiology taping as part of an individualized approach to supporting comfort, movement, recovery, and performance.

For many horses, balance pad sessions are kept simple—just a few intentional minutes at a time. Because more isn’t always better. Every horse has different needs, strengths, weaknesses, and limitations, and those should determine how the pads are introduced and progressed.

💜 The goal isn’t the wobble. The goal is helping the horse learn to organize, stabilize, and use their body more efficiently.

Because at Pure Equine Performance Therapy, we’re not just focusing on where your horse is sore—we’re looking at how the entire body works together. 🐴✨

☀️ Is your horse struggling with the Florida heat? ☀️

🥵 Not sweating like they should?
💦 Not drinking enough water?
🔥 Having a hard time staying comfortable during the summer months?

MagnaWave may help!

PEMF therapy is known to support healthy circulation and blood flow, which can help stimulate the body's natural processes, including thermal regulation and muscle recovery. Improved circulation may also help the body flush out metabolic waste and toxins that build up in the muscles after exercise.

One thing I consistently notice after a MagnaWave session is that horses often become much more interested in drinking water. As the body works to rebalance itself, many horses seem to experience an increased thirst response, encouraging better hydration. 💧

And if you've ever watched your horse drain an entire bucket after a session, you know exactly what I'm talking about! Even working with the equipment daily, I notice I tend to drink more water after extended use.

As we head into another hot and humid Florida summer, keeping our horses hydrated, comfortable, and feeling their best is more important than ever. 🫠🔥
