WHAT MAKES OUR CPR CLASSES DIFFERENT?

❤️ More Than CPR Skills — We Build Confidence

At Side By Side Postpartum Care, our CPR classes go beyond teaching life-saving techniques. We understand that emergencies can be overwhelming, especially when they involve a child or loved one.

Our classes are designed to help parents and caregivers:

✔ Learn essential CPR and choking rescue skills
✔ Recognize and respond quickly during an emergency
✔ Understand the emotional challenges that can arise in high-stress situations
✔ Communicate effectively with emergency responders
✔ Stay as calm and focused as possible when every second matters

We believe that confidence comes from preparation. By combining hands-on CPR training with practical guidance on managing the emotional aspects of an emergency, we help families feel empowered and ready to act when it matters most.

Because saving a life requires more than knowledge—it requires confidence, preparedness, and the ability to respond under pressure.

✨️How much should baby eat

✨️The amount a baby eats depends on their age, weight, and developmental stage. Here's a general guideline:

✨️Newborns (0-1 month):

Breastfed: 1.5–3 ounces per feeding, 8–12 times a day.

Formula-fed: 2–3 ounces every 3–4 hours.

✨️1-3 months:

Breastfed: Still feeds 7–9 times a day; each session may last longer or feel more efficient.

Formula-fed: 4–5 ounces every 3–4 hours.

✨️4-6 months:

Breastfed: Usually 6–8 feedings in 24 hours.

Formula-fed: 4–6 ounces every 4–5 hours.

Starting Solids (around 6 months): 1–2 tablespoons of pureed food once or twice daily.

✨️6-8 months:

Breastfed: Feeds 5–6 times a day.

Formula-fed: 6–8 ounces per feeding, 4–5 times daily.

Solids: 2–3 meals per day, about 2–4 tablespoons per meal.

✨️9-12 months:

Breastfed: 3–4 times daily.

Formula-fed: 7–8 ounces per feeding, 3–4 times daily.

Solids: 3 meals and 1–2 snacks daily, increasing texture and variety.

If you're a parent of a little one, you've probably heard the term "Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease" (HFMD)—but what exactly is it?

HFMD is a common childhood illness caused by a virus, and while it can look a bit scary, it’s usually mild and passes in about a week. It often starts with a fever and sore throat, followed by small, red spots or blisters on the hands, feet, and in the mouth. Some children may also develop a rash on the legs or bottom.

It spreads easily through coughs, sneezes, and even through touch—so it’s no surprise it often pops up in daycare and preschool settings.

✨️ The good news? With rest, fluids, and lots of TLC, most kids bounce back quickly. As always, if you're unsure or worried about your child's symptoms, it's best to check in with your healthcare provider.

Symptoms to watch for

Fever

Sore throat

Painful red spots or blisters on the hands, feet, and inside the mouth

Sometimes, a rash on the buttocks or legs

Loss of appetite and irritability in infants

For families with little ones: While HFMD can look alarming, it’s typically mild and clears up on its own within 7–10 days. Keeping your child hydrated, comfortable, and resting is key. And of course, always consult your pediatrician if you're concerned about symptoms or if your child seems unwell.

✨️May Is maternal mental health awareness month . I HOLD IT SO CLOSE TO MY HEART ❤️
Fun fact did you know that my own struggle with Postpartum depression is what started Side.by.side.postpartum.care!!!
As promised from day 1 I am always here for each and every momma that EVER needs any support because we are all in this together.
Postpartum depression doesn't have a specific look. It effects 1 in 7 ‼️ Postpartum depression needs to be talked more about so we can give the support they need!
After my son was born it took me a few months to realize I was suffering with PPD I had amazing support and got myself to a better place. After my experience it drove my passion for postpartum care because for some reason the mother is left on her own to figure this new world out. I want to help as many mammas /families as I can so we can all enjoy the fourth trimester!
