There are several different types of acne scars, including rolling, boxcar, and icepick scars. Some scars may also be tethered beneath the skin.

Successful acne scar revision often involves combining multiple treatment modalities to address texture, pigmentation, redness, and scar depth.

Getting laser treatments while having a sun tan increase the potential for hyperpigmentation (darkening), hypopigmentation (lightening), or blistering from the treatment.
