A unique and refreshing approach to services RESIDENTIAL HABILITATION:
H.A.S. Inc.

Providing services in Idaho Falls, Rexburg, Shelley, Blackfoot, Pocatello, Twin Falls, and Boise along with all surrounding areas. coordinates housing opportunities for persons with developmental disabilities. We staff our residential habilitation homes 24 hours a day with team members who are trained to meet the specific needs of each client. This support level is approved through the Department

of Health and Welfare as either High Supports (1 para-professional working with up to 3 clients) or Intense Supports (1 para-professional working with 1 client). SUPPORTED LIVING:
We also provide services to higher functioning and more independent clients in our supported living program. These individuals are approved for a lower level of support by the Department of Health and Welfare sometimes call “Hourly Supports”. We will come into the client’s home and provide staffing for a limited number of hours each day or each week.

- Elevating Individuals to Their Highest Potential -

SELF ADVOCACY:
Our goal for each of our clients here at H.A.S. is optimal independence. Every person we work with has a different level of growth that they can attain and each has a unique speed at which they can progress. In a team atmosphere we educate these individuals to gain a higher level of independence and learn to be able to advocate for themselves at the growth and speed that best fits their situation. BEHAVIORAL SUPPORT:
Our multiple disciplinary approaches and with professionals on our team, our services are uniquely structured to work with individuals with mild to extreme behaviors. Our Masters Level Behaviorist and our Qualified Intellectual Disability Professionals develop client specific targeted goals to address behaviors of the client. These goals are worked on daily and are monitored and adjusted to ensure the highest level of effectiveness. RECREATION:
Everyone needs recreational activities to increase their quality of living! Each of our clients are able to get out a minimum of 3-5 times a week (though 2 times daily is encouraged) to take part in activities that they love and that are crucial to their independence, rehabilitation and their social interaction. EMPLOYMENT SERVICES:
Earning and maintaining gainful employment are foundational H.A.S. principles and key to a successful client. We coordinate with The Department of Vocational Rehabilitation in assisting those we serve in finding a job. “VocRehab” provides many educational and employment opportunities that we can assist our clients in accessing and help in traversing the often complex process.

🧩 Kendall Puts His Own Spin on Puzzles!

Kendall has enjoyed puzzles for as long as the team at Crawfordsville Day Hab has known him—and he has a remarkable approach that is entirely his own: he completes them with the picture side down!

Staff have encouraged him to try working picture side up, but Kendall knows exactly how he prefers to do it. 😊

Now, Kendall is taking on his biggest challenge yet—a 1,000-piece puzzle! With incredible patience and concentration, he works one piece at a time. His team also knows one important rule: Don’t disturb the puzzle while he’s working!

Kendall is nonverbal, but when he completes a puzzle, his huge smile and excitement to show everyone say it all. We can’t wait to see this one finished!

Keep puzzling, Kendall! 💙

🌱 Great communities are built when people are encouraged to be themselves.

"We need to give each other the space to grow, to be ourselves."

That simple idea reminds us that everyone deserves respect, encouragement, and the opportunity to reach their full potential.

When people feel accepted for who they are, amazing things happen.

💙 Let's continue creating spaces where everyone belongs.
