Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the courage of the first responders, service members, families and everyday Americans whose lives were forever changed that day.

Twenty-five years later, we remember the lives, the stories and the extraordinary acts of bravery, compassion and unity that emerged in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

May we continue to carry their memory with us and honor their legacy through kindness, service and care for one another.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸

Let your creativity take flight! 🎨✨

Join us for another Sunrise Community Living Arts & Crafts Day! Our Risers will spend the morning painting, decorating, and creating their own one-of-a-kind birdhouses. 🐤🏠

➡️ Guardians, if your Riser would like to participate, please email Jamie to RSVP by September 11th. Space is limited!

All supplies will be provided, along with a light snack. We can’t wait for another fun and creative morning together!

We love seeing our Risers out in the community making a difference! ✨

Corbin and Desi were recently featured in the Alaska Airmen’s Association Association’s Member Spotlight for the volunteer work they’ve been doing together, including regularly stopping by the Airmen’s office to help pick up and recycle cardboard. 📦

It may seem like a small task, but contributions like this make a real impact and are such a great example of giving back, staying involved, and being part of the community.

Way to go, Desi and Corbin! We’re so excited to see you recognized for the work you’re doing. 👏🏼

Working hard at YMCA of Alaska!

Through Sunrise’s Supported Employment Program, our Risers have opportunities to build job skills, gain confidence, and get meaningful work experience in their community.

Our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are there alongside them to provide encouragement, guidance, and support while helping each person grow more independent in their role.

Keira brings so much care, patience, and dedication to the Risers she supports. She takes the time to truly get to know each person, from their routines and preferences to the ways they communicate best, helping them feel understood, supported, and empowered to work toward their goals.

She is a strong advocate, a dependable teammate, and someone who is always looking for opportunities to learn and grow. Keira also loves creating opportunities for our Risers to get out into the community, build friendships, and enjoy meaningful experiences together.

Her compassion, positive attitude, and genuine commitment to others make a difference every day.

Today we’re celebrating Roland’s one-year anniversary with Sunrise! 🎊

Over the past year, Roland has become such a steady and valued part of our Sunrise team. He brings patience, kindness, and genuine care into the support he provides, taking the time to connect with each Riser and understand what they need to feel supported and successful.

Roland is someone his team can count on. Whether he’s stepping in to help, communicating with his teammates, or simply bringing a calm and dependable presence to the day, he consistently shows what it means to be a great DSP.

We’re so grateful for the care, professionalism, and heart Roland has brought to Sunrise over the past year. Happy one-year anniversary, Roland! We’re truly lucky to have you on our team! 😃
